I was lucky enough to get an invite to attend the Women in AI Australia hosted by Salesforce in Sydney this week. As an AI enthusiast & equality advocate I attended to meet like minded leaders as well as inspiring the next generation to get AI certified! Thank you to all the speakers for sharing their advice, knowledge & journeys. Some key take-aways from me: - We need to teach AI to more girls in STEM - It isn't just the tech skills but social skills are also needed for the next generation of leaders - We need to learn to co-exist with machines in the new world of 'human-machine teaming' - This is not the first industrial revolution that humans have been through & we learned to adapt to the rest - AI models are incidental truth tellers or liars, it is up to us to train them to be accurate, removing bias & toxicity - To ensure women thrive we need to mentor & sponsor them, we need our male allies to lean in as well - Women thrive in an environment where they feel supported & challenged, we can all be role models Shauna Wong Simone Jemmett Anita S. Ganna Pogrebna Stephanie Dowling Christina Larkin Audrey Lobo-Pulo
