At Mars, the world we want tomorrow includes a healthy planet, thriving people, and wellbeing at the center. Today, and every day, I’m proud of the ways Mars Global Services (MGS) Associates around the world play a key role in executing our sustainability efforts at Mars. For example, working with our partners and segments, we are enabling operations to be more sustainable throughout our global supply chain. I hope you’ll join me in exploring the report, which offers a clear illustration of what large global enterprises can accomplish when guided by Purpose. Check out below Poul Weihrauch's post and how the world we want tomorrow does start with how we do business today. #proudlymars #tomorrowstartstoday #sustainableoperations #easierisbetter

CEO & Office of the President at Mars

Profit and purpose are not enemies. Doing the right thing does not mean a trade-off between planet and productivity, or between environment and employment. To be successful at Mars, we have to deliver financial and non-financial value. That’s why I am so pleased with the news we are announcing today.    Last year, we published our Net Zero Roadmap promising to accelerate our carbon reductions. In 2023, we delivered a record 8% greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction, doubling our total GHG reduction to 16% across our full value chain and delivering our largest single year drop against our 2015 baseline. In the same period, we have grown our business over 60% to more than $50 billion in annual sales. With these latest results, we are delivering on our business strategy to continue to grow while reducing our absolute carbon emissions. We still have a long way to go, but we will continue to follow the science and show how a responsible business can both do well and do good.   You can read more about it and visit the latest Mars Sustainable in a Generation Plan here https://lnkd.in/dxXBcatP #ProudlyMars #NetZeroby2050

Thanks for sharing Angela - it is a beautiful thing to experience a positive impact on our environment while growing the business. A good reminder both metrics can move in the same direction & the value GBS can unlock.
