I'm looking forward to our opening conference 'The Many Faces of Paul: Pauline Exegesis in Pre-Modern Times' from March 21st to 23rd at the University of Geneva. The conference is part of the SNSF project 'Exegesis of Paul in the 16th Century', in which I'm participating. Excited for insightful exchanges with international experts! Our conference aims at promoting a contextualized understanding of the reception of the Corpus Paulinum in the vast Latin tradition from Late Antiquity to Early Modernity. When citing, using, and interpreting Paul, what image did his readers draw of the Apostle, and how did they get to that image? What goals did they pursue, and what resources did they have at hand?

'Team Pigment' colleagues are now unearthing more of the stories hidden beneath the surface of Durham’s medieval manuscripts, thanks to £400,000 from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Capability for Collections Fund (CapCo). AHRC-CapCo funding helps research institutes and universities renew and improve their facilities for collections-led research, focusing on conservation and heritage science facilities, digital capture equipment and specialist study spaces; ensuring UK researchers and innovators have use of world class laboratories, equipment and digital resources.  Funding awarded to ‘Team Pigment’ (Tony King and Andy Beeby) between 2020 and 2021 has enabled the Durham Library and Collections facilities to obtain new state-of-the-art optical analysis equipment. Durham's 'Team Pigment' have consequently made a leap in the level of detail with which they can analyse the components used to produce illuminated manuscripts. This knowledge sheds light not only on how individual manuscripts were produced, but also on the availability of the materials used to paint them and therefore the evolution of international trade networks. On my way to Scienco Po Lyon and conference on European studies CES, looking forward to present a paper on building citizens trust in so called parallel society structures in strong states

Indeed a relevant but overlooked non-properly-rewarded way of (potentially) having an impact in society from academic knowledge, and also learning from society's knowledge and expertise. An interesting (historical) question would be the socio-political context in which this two-way transfer instrument came into being and was adopted by universities. Was it to compensate the burdens and cumbursome process of transferring knowledge in the form of patents/spin-offs/start-ups? From an equity-centered perspective David and I elevate our previous work with Jill, Hal, Deborah, and Merita, by exploring the dynamic interconnections between and among individual thriving, collective thriving, and robust equity.
