I am tired of hearing people denigrate "hemp bros" and rail against THCa flower. From Rod Kight: "If we kill THCa, we effectively “re-schedule” cannabis and eliminate billions of dollars of legal cannabis flower from the market. Closing this so-called “loophole” in the next Farm Bill ends an unprecedented era of massive cannabis reform, normalization, business growth, and consumer choice. The idea of re-scheduling cannabis that was legalized in 2018 should be sinful to anyone who truly believes in and cares about the plant." That's 100% correct. The entire point of legalizing weed is to enable people to get weed. Period. The "hemp bros" (and a lot of them are women btw) are helping tons of people in red states get weed. God bless 'em and their efforts. https://lnkd.in/gemNNSu7
P**is envy. That's what it is. The legal cannabis market got upset because non legal states allowing Hemp derived products to be sold were killing it, self included with THC-A. 🤑 It was a game changer and it took off like you won't believe and that's when Hell broke loose with the legal cannabis folks. But here's the funny part. The majority of the flower we sold came from the cannabis guys that were also growing Hemp THC-A. 😲😂 You are spot on with this post. These folks need to chill before they create a problem we will all regret including those individuals on the cannabis side. One love, one plant family 🫶🏾
The only people I hear speaking about this hemp vs cannabis thing are hemp people. Most of my licensed cannabis friends are also in the "hemp" space. Why wouldn't you be, it's way easier and more profitable.
THCA hemp saved 75% of cannabis legal operators there business weather hou want to admit it or not.
100% accurate. Our charge is to educate and mobilize on a scale that many in the industry aren’t familiar with. Don’t back off. Don’t be intimidated by MSO’s. Don’t let elected officials ignore you. Make noise.
Well said Andrew...110/100

2wNot sure I agree. The "entire point" includes bringing product safety in line with the consumer standards (if not the medical/intoxicant ones) we apply to other crops. So many THCa sellers are purporting to sell hemp, but somehow consider themselves exempt from relevant ag law (not to mention cannabis-specific state law on e.g. harmful pesticides). It's all fun and games until the next scandal and regulatory overreaction a la Vit. E Acetate. Suggesting that THCa regulation "ends the golden era" and that what we need is to "regulate hemp properly" isn't substantially different IMO from just saying "let's regulate cannabis properly in its entirety." Somehow we manage to regulate yams destined for the supermarket and those used in testosterone production; table grapes and wine. Not sure the best strategy is preserving the false distinction between adult-use and hemp and then depending on a "loophole" that appears to be perpetuated largely thanks to prosecutorial discretion and USDA ineptitude rather than jurispridence.
