I decided to remove the paywall from all my stories on Medium. I made this change because it makes them more accessible to the whole developer community. As a Software Engineer, I feel that knowledge sharing shouldn't be blocked and I'd like to contribute more to the dev community. So, if you are interested in Software Engineering related stories and articles, check my page at https://lnkd.in/eNrJvJnY #softwareengineering #developer #knowledgeshare

Software development is all fun and games until you encounter a bug 😪 - those creepy, little creatures that make you question your existence. Some days back, I needed to handle users' subscriptions using Paddle, a third-party application that manages users' subscription flow, in a Spring Boot application. To do this, I would need to seamlessly create, update, get and cancel/delete (typical Software Engineering operations) subscriptions and related entities Upon attempting a PATCH HttpMethod for a subscription update, I encountered an error. I couldn't use PATCH! Why? So I started digging. Debugging a code with a close deadline in mind is DIFFICULT. I tried out several awesome but unfit solutions and after several hours, I got my Eureka moment. The whole experience showed me again the power of intensity. If you want it and go hard for it, it is most likely you will get it. I have chosen to be intense with my pursuits. Medium felt my passion because I did something with my newfound knowledge there. https://lnkd.in/gEdnHXpT Read about the solution I implemented there. I will not leave without appreciating Nonso O. who stuck with me and rendered all the support I needed lest I gave up in between. Also, the YouTube video on the 'if else statement' channel guided me. See all of it in the article. Thank you Peace Adetutu Ezeafulukwe for journeying with me on #MyLinkedInGrowth. Thank you all.

Rust vs Go: Choosing Your Backend Language I came across this insightful article on Dev.to that dives into the differences between Rust and Go for backend development: Rust vs Go: Choosing Your Backend Language. • Go: Simplicity, rapid development, and excellent concurrency support—ideal for scalable services. • Rust: Performance, memory safety, and control—perfect for systems that require low-level optimization. As I’m exploring Rust, this comparison resonated with me. If you’re deciding between these two, this article is a must-read. What’s your go-to backend language, and why? Let’s discuss! #RustLang #GoLang #BackendDevelopment #Programming #Tech

Time to embrace our inner geek, as our CTO Boris Marn shares some lessons he's learned from his development career. He's been watching the two tribes of pragmatics and fundamentalists that decide between building something or using an existing solution and has some good advice for your next tech project.... https://lnkd.in/eRSSQSbz

🚀 Just Deployed Another ‘Flawless’ Build! 🎉 Big shoutout to my ever-faithful assistant, Render Logs, for being there through thick and thin, pointing out the endless list of npm packages I had to “re-audit” for the hundredth time. 🛠️ I don’t think I could ever get enough of seeing “Build successful” after only 5 hours of troubleshooting connection issues, access controls, and random packages deciding they didn’t want to exist today. 🎢 Every deployment reminds me that, yes, software engineering is just a cycle of debugging the bugs you introduced while fixing other bugs. #TechLife #DeployDays #softwareEngineer #Mern #nodejs #SarcasmSunday (Yes, I know it’s not Sunday.)

While no-code tools are great, future-proofing is also important. Today, I published our seventh post on the no-code series, which focuses on "The Benefits of Open Standards in No-Code Development: What It Means for Your Business". Here, we explore open standards and how they promote interoperability, scalability, and flexibility across software systems and platforms. https://lnkd.in/drGQgnGq #nocode #lowcode #webdevelopment
