Perspective is Everything! I had the great pleasure of being interviewed by David Gouthro on his "Discover Fresh Perspectives" podcast recently (find it on Apple Podcasts and Spotify). David is the ultimate gracious host and dynamic conversationalist who can weave deep listening and insightful questions that pull all parties together into fun, flow, and insight. Just the other day, my husband and I were talking about how important it is to seek perspective. Our perceptions are often clouded by unconscious bias, by sensations, and by old programming that keeps us in survival mode. Perspective, however, can only be gained by listening (to ourselves and each other), by having the curiosity to look beyond what lies on the surface, and by having the courage to challenge our most deeply held convictions to determine if whether they are truly magnanimous or simply self-serving. Perspective is both an art and a science, but one that is sorely needed in our world today. If we want to build a better world, we need to come together to build fresh perspectives. I hope this podcasts provides some inspiration. And, of course, am happy to chat with anyone who has interest in learning more about the work I do on cultivating fresh perspectives on life, work and success for women, leaders, and change makers. #changemakers #workculture #communicationskills #listening #leadership

This week on "Discover Fresh Perspectives" I'm in conversation with Andrea Jacques on the Philosophy of Wabi-Sabi Wisdom. If that peaks your interest (as it should), have listen! Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and at least a dozen other podcast platforms. Might as well subscribe while you're at it . . . there are fascinating conversations (in my mind at least) scheduled for the balance of the year--incredible! By the way, just read Andrea's book, Wabi-Sabi Wisdom and I can't praise it enough. So much wisdom based on personal experiences. Wish I had read it 20 or 30 years ago--simply fabulous.
