Happy Friday! Yesterday's post resonated with many of you, so I decided to keep the tips coming. Do you ever feel like you or your procurement team are being pulled in too many directions? One minute, you're negotiating supplier contracts. The next, you're dealing with urgent inventory issues (everything is urgent). It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and lose sight of what’s driving value for the business. But here’s the thing: not every task deserves equal attention. One of the biggest shifts I’ve seen is when procurement teams learn to prioritize – to focus on the things that move the needle instead of just putting out fires (see urgent inventory issues above). Here’s how we help with that: ▪️ Clarify priorities: We work with teams to identify the most critical areas that impact the bottom line, so they can focus on what actually matters. ▪️ Delegate or automate the rest: Not everything requires your full attention. Some tasks can be streamlined or handed off, allowing the team to focus on high-impact work. ▪️ Stay focused on the big picture: When teams focus on their core strengths, they drive more value. We help keep that focus so they can make strategic moves, not just react to the latest issue.
