WORLD ENTREPRENEURSHIP DAY !!! On this special occasion I like to thank each and every one who supported me in becoming a part of startups or doing anything for the startups. Right from my college days I was selected in E-cell of my own college Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SVVV Indore and recruited by Abhinandan Parashar sir. I took every activity of the E-cell seriously and was also involved in working with E-cells of other colleges. I always saw this as the most fascinating thing. I learned many things from this so-called STARTUP CULTURE. Here are some learnings:- RISK:- always try new things in life and never fear from any new oppourtunity and try to give your best in the worst case scenario. FAILURES:- Failures are nothing but a secret door to your success. The more failures occur in your life the more you are closer to your goal or success. PATIENCE:- Nothing is achieved in one year, one month, one week, one day, It takes time. You have to invest your time in your goal. The more you polish yourself The more you will shine. PEOPLE:- Everything you tend to achieve in life is impossible without the help of the team, family, and mentor. Always have a right amount of people in your life because " NETWORK IS YOUR NETWORTH ". DISTRACTIONS:- You have to be focused on your life. You should plan each day that you only see your goal and nothing else. You have to be "ARJUN" who is focused in aiming at fish eye. Why do people in India think that startups are bad? One of the most distinguishing features of Indians is that Indians prefer security over adventure. - They don’t worship heroes of history, they worship the saints.  - They detest those who live like rich, they laud those who pretend to be poor (like Gandhi, Mother Teresa).   - They don’t invest in stocks, they prefer fixed deposits.  - They don’t want private jobs, they prefer government jobs. Startups have a very high rate of failures. According to a worldwide study reported on Forbes, 90% of Startups Fail. This is the main reason why Indians don’t appreciate startups and prefer government or big corporate jobs where the chances of failure are almost negligible. 

New experiences bring new learnings. Gladly, an opportunity to understand and experience how entrepreneur present their ventures to investors in real-time. AIC BIMTECH Organised “Investor Pitch Day” where Aspiring Entrepreneurs came from diverse states with innovative ideas. Volunteering as a E-Cell BIMTECH member at that event made me realize many things that I would like to share. All the startup leaders I met, ranging from ed-tech, food processing to the manufacturing and engineering Industry, shared a few traits that made them what they were. - One of the aspects was that all of them were very humble personalities. They were well aware of what they were as well as of their imperfections. Their aura was calm and composed, it felt comfortable to approach them regardless of any factor. - The leaders were visionary and their ideas were something that would help the society in many ways. The ideas were very much different that what we are used to hear. Creative and Innovation can only define these ideas - All of them were aspiring and motivated about their ideas, their ventures as well of their life. The mental clarity they had for every thing is one thing that I admire of them for. They knew exactly what they are doing, what they will do. - Knowledge and experience were reflected even in very small conversations we had. It really helped to understand how really a startup function, and how really entrepreneurs are. The session was worth attending that inspired and motivated me. Startups will have to educate Kirana shopkeepers about the benefits of these products before selling them. Kirana shopkeepers will have to be taught how to operate the software. Shopkeepers still do stock management, billing etc. manually, want to use them but don't know how?

"Kirana" tech startups are failing in India. Companies like Khatabook, OkCredit, and PagarBook aimed to organize India's $500 billion Kirana market. This market is so huge that it covers almost 13% of India's GDP. Here are 3 reasons that contributed to the downfall of "Kirana" Tech startups: 1️⃣ Firstly, the margins are very thin for Kirana stores. This means the shopkeepers couldn't afford the services of these apps. 2️⃣Secondly, it's about habits. Instead of spending extra money on apps, any shopkeeper can easily record their transactions in a notebook. So, even after spending a lot to make shopkeepers tech-friendly, they weren't using these apps. 3️⃣Thirdly, it's about sustainability. The user interface was good, and it could solve big problems easily. But the cash burn for all these wasn't sustainable. On the first day of the Arambh Batch of PW School of Startups, we were fortunate to interact with Shantanu Deshpande, founder of Bombay Shaving Company. We learned some incredible lessons that will shape our entrepreneurial journey. The core team should consist of generalists with high enthusiasm and common sense—no need for fancy degrees or pedigrees. When it comes to acquiring the first 100 customers, start locally and build genuine relationships with them. One of the most important takeaways was that the relationship between the founder and employees should never be transactional. Standing with your team in their hard times is much more valuable than offering a 20% salary hike. Understanding Indian customer behavior is crucial, as it helps in building trust and scaling. Building a ₹1000 crore+ business is all about having the right people, capital, and margin structure. Stay close to your first 100-200 customers, as they will provide you with the most valuable feedback. When raising funds, it’s essential to be clear about how much you're raising and how it will generate returns. You should offer disproportionate value with disproportionate advantage to your investors and always analyze the best-case, worst-case, and real-case scenarios. Knowing your margin structure inside and out is vital. Be analytical. Recruitment and value transfer are equally important for growth of organization. Identify good people, do disproportionate work to help them succeed, and encourage them to do the same for others. This creates a sustainable organization.
