Ever heard of IoT? IoT, short for the Internet of Things, is all about connecting everyday objects to the internet. Lights that adjust automatically, thermostats that learn your preferences, and even appliances that can be controlled from your phone. This isn't fiction any more – it's the reality of IoT. But the benefits of IoT go far beyond the comfort of your home. Here are some ways #IoT is making a big impact today: 1. Smart #Cities: Traffic lights that adjust automatically based on real-time flow or waste collection systems that optimize routes. IoT is helping create smarter cities that are efficient, sustainable, and citizen-friendly. 2. Precision #Agriculture: Farmers are using IoT sensors in their fields to monitor soil moisture, temperature, and crop health. This data allows for targeted irrigation and optimized fertilizer use, leading to increased yields and better resource conservation. 3. Improved #Healthcare: Wearable health trackers with IoT capabilities are improving healthcare through remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management, and early detection of health issues. This translates to better patient care, personalized treatment plans, and improved overall health outcomes. The future is connected, and IoT is here for the long haul, constantly evolving to make our lives easier and more convenient. And we are only getting started! If you are interested in programs that benefit you and your future, come check out #Anadea. We are always making something great!

We just launched Miru (YC S24)! Armel Talla, Benjamin Smidt, and I have been working hard on this the past few months, and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to. Billions of people around the world work in physically difficult jobs. Intelligent robots can make their lives easier. If we can automate all of the dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs worldwide, we can free humanity to do more important and fulfilling work. However, the engineers building these powerful devices don’t have the right DevOps tools to get the job done. As a result, progress is slowed, companies fail, and ideas die. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Miru is building the infrastructure to power the intelligent revolution. We’re starting with software deployment infrastructure for robotics and IoT. If you’re a robotics or IoT team struggling with OTA software deployment, we’d love to help! We’re obsessed with this problem and won’t rest until we’ve solved it. As a side note, we’re grateful to be funded by Y Combinator for their S24 batch. We were inspired to start our startup journey by reading PG essays and watching YC's YouTube videos. We’re excited to make the most of this opportunity and follow in the footsteps of the great founders who came before us.
Miru (YC S24) is building the deployment infrastructure for robotics and IoT. Currently, robotics and IoT companies don’t have the benefit of robust, off-the-shelf DevOps tools. Because of this, they often dedicate more than half of their software team to building custom internal tools, which increases costs and decreases product velocity. Miru helps companies build and maintain their deployment pipelines, saving their engineers months of work. With Miru, teams can deploy software over the air, provision devices, and manage versioning for their fleets. For engineers using Miru, updating software on thousands of devices is as easy as pushing a change to GitHub! After meeting in their freshman dorm at The University of Texas at Austin, Vedant Nair, Armel Talla, and Benjamin Smidt spent their time in college building an AI video dev tool. They're passionate about a future where robotics can free humans from doing the dull, dirty, and dangerous tasks that dominate billions of people’s lives. They founded Miru to provide the infrastructure to accelerate this transition. Congrats Vedant, Armel, and Ben on the launch! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/gCbxSh3z

Miru (YC S24) helps robotics and IoT companies easily deploy software updates to their devices over the air. It simplifies the process of managing and updating large fleets of devices by handling tasks like building, staging, and deploying software automatically. For engineers, it’s as simple as pushing a change to GitHub, and Miru takes care of the rest. Miru addresses the lack of robust DevOps tools for robotics and IoT companies. Without these tools, these companies are usually forced to manually update devices or create costly, custom-built solutions... ...This can consume a significant portion of their engineering teams' time and resources, which slows down product development and increases costs. By providing a centralized, reliable, and scalable solution, Miru enables these companies to focus on building their products rather than maintaining complex deployment infrastructure. Founders- Armel Talla, Vedant Nair, Benjamin Smidt & the entire Miru team are passionate about accelerating the adoption of robots by providing the essential infrastructure to support their deployment. You can check Miru out ASAP on the website - https://www.miruml.com/ P.S - if you need any written content for your early-stage startup... Send me a DM

TL;DR: As #engineers, engaging directly with your users is crucial. Understanding how they interact with your product is key to creating tools that truly meet their needs. 🧐 Here’s how we did it: At IoT Venture GmbH, the backend team’s commitment goes beyond supporting customers and users—we also ensure that our tracker manufacturers have the essential tools they need for production. We’ve just launched V2 of our production tools to better meet their needs. As backend #engineers, my team and I aren’t experts in production processes. To bridge this gap, we engaged in ongoing discussions with our production #engineering team, including Daniel Fraunhofer, Jannis Dilling, and Dustin Reymendt. Here’s how we approached the project: - Our #engineering manager Benjamin Fröhlich gathered the requirements and created the necessary tickets. 📝 - Amélie Boudier and I took over implementation, working closely with the production #engineering team to deeply understand the user’s perspective. 💬 - Once development was complete, Amélie Boudier and I observed how the production team intuitively used the tools, allowing us to identify bugs and make improvements before the final release. 🔍 #UX #code #productmanagement P.S.: Daniel Fraunhofer described the project himself in another post: https://lnkd.in/eKFsZtq3
