Clients are more interested in outcomes than they are in Craft. This is absolutely fantastic! Creatives need to learn to tell our stories in such a way that we do not just sound interesting or successful to our fellow creatives but rather intriguing to the stakeholders doing the actual buying. And guess what, their interest is primarily how our creativity converts to their numbers. So, because there is already some difficulty measuring the impact of Creativity in marketing — due to its abstract nature, Kevin recommends to replace talent descriptions like “Award winning creative” with something that, for example : - Highlights how you tell stories that attract and retain TA’s attention - Describes how you have gathered a reliable back-door insight into brands story that enables you tell it more authentically and makes it more compelling to assure engagment and eventual conversion. I find this rather interesting and definitely recommend it to Creatives in the block!
Creatives are experts in telling stories. For absolutely everyone but ourselves.
