Join us as we discuss strategies for maintaining connections with loved ones while honoring personal truths. Coming out is a journey filled with both hope and fear. It's not just about embracing our true identity - it's also about the deep fear of rejection from the people we love most. Balancing the need to be authentic with the desire to protect family ties can lead to a constant inner conflict. The fear of hurting those who have raised and supported us, coupled with the anxiety of being ostracized by our community and religion, can make us feel trapped and isolated. This struggle is a heavy burden to bear, but sharing these feelings can be the first step towards finding peace and acceptance within ourselves and our family.

Codependency can manifest as enabling behaviors, blurred boundaries, and prioritizing others’ needs over your own—often stemming from unresolved childhood trauma. In this episode, we explore where codependency comes from, how it affects our relationships today, and the actionable steps to break free and establish healthier dynamics. If you or someone you know struggles with codependency, this episode offers hope and tools for positive change. Even days later, the sting of that empty job promise (fake job promise) refuses to fade away. I can't seem to shake the feelings of anger, disappointment, and embarrassment that come with being led on and then left high and dry. It's one of those situations that keeps replaying in my mind, no matter how hard I try to move past it. The more I dwell on it, the more questions arise. I'm pretty sure it was a transphobic "attack" on me and Vanessa. If you've ever found yourself in a similar position—thrilled by the prospect of a new opportunity (when you've been unemployed for months...years), only to have it ripped away—you know how deeply that can cut. It's a harsh reminder of how vulnerable we can feel when our hopes are tied to something as crucial as employment. For those wondering about the company behind this letdown, Vanessa spilled it on the latest episode of the Transcending Humanity Podcast. While I'm still licking my wounds, I refuse to let this experience diminish my determination. The path may be lined with rejections and disappointments, but I'll keep pushing forward, opening myself up to new possibilities—just a little wiser and more guarded after this recent letdown. #Hiring #Jobs #JobSearch #JobSeekers #Scams #Podcast #TranscendingHumanity
WE'RE BACK! Transcending Humanity has returned from our little.... hiatus. This episode gets pretty deep, covering topics such as self harm, su!c!de, mental health struggles, and this completely messed up job market. CONTENT WARNING as a result. Listener & viewer discretion is advised. Vanessa does reveal the identity of the company that scammed her and Liam Paschall - if you want to know what company it is, you'll have to listen! Remember to rate our show on podcast platforms (5 stars!), subscribe to us on YouTube, support us on Patreon (Vanessa finances this herself, and she's unemployed, dammit!) #MentalHealth #Advice #Podcast
