Hello Roger Montti, I have read your article, "Google's Indifference To Site Publishers Explained." You have put your idea on why Google becomes indifferent to sites. You also mentioned the way to attract Google, which is through the "user experience." The important line for me is, "Google's response for the past month is that they're investigating how to improve." Does it mean that when we get feedback from the Search Console, we should address them ASAP? You always stress "user experience." I have read this idea in your many articles. As an article writer, writing an article is easy, but writing an article with the best user experience is too hard.
This Is The Change That Is Needed Google's algorithms are literally created to provide a good user experience and is evaluated to that standard. From Google's perspective the algorithm is working if user satisfaction metrics say it's working, wholly indifferent of the publisher's viewpoint as search traffic diminishes with each new Google Search Feature. The disconnect in how Google measures success and the indifference to publishers is built into Google Search. It starts with Google's indifferent mission statement to make information "universally accessible and useful" and ends with the rollout of an algorithm that is 100% indifferent to how publishers experience it. https://lnkd.in/g3FwSGHP

Google has announced the completion of its August 2024 core update, signaling the end of the 19-day rollout that commenced on August 15, 2024. This update, which caused significant ranking fluctuations and alterations in Google Search results, was not a typical core update. Taking feedback from the September 2023 helpful content update, Google aimed to address the negative impact on many small and independent publishers. Results from a recent poll revealed that a majority of respondents were adversely affected by the last core update: - 44% reported a decrease in Rankings/Traffic (1,583 votes) - 27% noted an increase in Rankings/Traffic (993 votes) - 29% experienced no change (1,038 votes) Despite some recoveries post the September 2023 update, they were limited, with most sites failing to see significant improvements. Additionally, a ranking bug in the initial days of the August core update was rectified after four days, emphasizing the need to evaluate rankings and traffic post-bug fixes for accurate comparisons. John Mueller, Search Advocate at Google, highlighted that the August 2024 core update aims to prioritize genuinely useful content over material created solely for search performance. This update is part of Google's efforts to support valuable content from small and independent publishers, reflecting the feedback received since the March 2024 core update. For those witnessing changes post-update, Google has updated its help page with detailed guidance to navigate through any modifications effectively. Stay informed and monitor any fluctuations in rankings and traffic, ensuring alignment with Google's latest update objectives. #GoogleUpdate #CoreUpdate #SearchRankings

#Google says, “We’re making algorithmic enhancements to our core ranking systems to ensure we surface the most helpful information on the web and reduce unoriginal content in search results." This means that Google is continuously improving its algorithms to provide users with the most relevant and high-quality information in search results. By making these enhancements, Google aims to reduce the visibility of unoriginal or low-quality content on the web. This will help users find trustworthy and valuable information more easily, ultimately improving the overall search experience. Google's core ranking systems are constantly being updated to prioritize helpful and original content, ensuring that users are presented with the best possible results for their queries. These algorithmic changes are part of Google's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of #search results and provide #users with the most relevant and reliable information available online.
