Bloomberg is proud to champion diversity and connection in the investment research industry through our global Women in Investment Research community.🌎 Last month, Peter Grauer, President and Chairman Emeritus of Bloomberg, hosted an inspiring networking reception at the National Portrait Gallery. This vibrant evening brought together trailblazing professionals and allies, fostering meaningful conversations and connections. Amongst a packed room, attendees were welcomed by Bloomberg’s London Bureau Chief, Ruth David, and enjoyed an exclusive preview of the thought-provoking Francis Bacon: Human Presence exhibition. Bloomberg's Women in Investment Research community is dedicated to shaping a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive industry. Through networking, mentorship, and career development, we’re empowering women to thrive and lead in investment research. 🤝 #InvestmentResearch #WomenInFinance

What an inspiring and exciting experience we had at Women's Forum for the Economy & Society Global Meeting! I was thrilled and honored to attend alongside some of the highly talented women from CIBC&T Aurélie Cai, Nadia Zouine, Myriam Chalom Bensimhon, Elisabeth Bosc. We were reminded of the still very long road ahead: 🚻 Alexandre Guerin indicated that 73% of respondents to the Women's Forum Barometer think there is an inequality between women and men in social, political, and economic rights in their countries (G7 countries). 💻 S. Mona Sinha highlighted that 2.7 billion women are excluded from the digital space. 🏢 Karen Noblinski shared that 4 out of 10 women still do not dare to report harassment at work. But we were also inspired by remarkable achievements: 🎉 Yaël Braun-Pivet, first woman elected President of the French National Assembly. 🤖 Stacy Janiak, convinced that AI will push forward the limits on critical challenges like drug discovery, but ethical behavior as well as the 3 Rs (Retraining, Reskilling & Reengineering) will be paramount: “You don’t need a STEM degree to work with AI: collaboration, communicative skills and creativity are key”. 🚺 Annette Young, leading "The 51 Percent" program, dedicated to women who are reshaping our world. 🌅 So don’t listen to those who say it is impossible, let’s combine all our feminine and masculine powers to continue to break down barriers and create a more equitable future! 💼 Redefining Success for Women in Financial Services 💼 The financial industry is demanding, requiring not just analytical skills but a fierce determination to succeed. For us women, this path includes juggling personal and professional roles while striving to make a significant impact. In my journey with JPTD Partners and ABRB Consulting, I've learned the importance of not just finding opportunities, but creating them. Especially in a world where our representation doesn't always reflect our true potential. Our extensive network, inclusive of 55+ private equity and PE-backed firms, aims to champion women like us. It's more than just business—it's about fostering an ecosystem where female advisors and money/wealth managers can prosper. Imagine what we can achieve together in the M&A/PE landscape. Ready to unlock our collective potential? Let's start the conversation. 🌺

Happy Women's Day! We take this opportunity to reflect on the inequalities that women face, particularly in the entrepreneurial world, by sharing some staggering facts learned from a lecture on Managerial Finance at MIT. - Only 9.2% of venture capital-backed founders are women (RateMyInvestor and Diversity VC report). - Of the $69.1 trillion in global financial assets under management across mutual funds, hedge funds, real estate, and private equity, fewer than 1.3% are managed by women and people of color (Lyons-Padilla et al., 2019). We recommend reflecting on these numbers and taking immediate action. As male counterparts, we must join hands and march together towards a world that is more equal and fairer.

Behind every closed door is a missed opportunity for women to reach their full potential. The reality is that financial systems weren’t designed with the needs of women in mind, as women only receive a fraction of the capital that men do. This limits not only their own opportunities, but also impacts their family’s and community’s ability to thrive. Global leaders have an opportunity to create a fairer, more equitable and stronger financial system. The Gates Foundation is working across sectors with partners to realize these goals and unlock women’s economic power. Learn more: https://gates.ly/49IX5m8
