Thanks for sharing! Birth without immediate availability of an anesthesiologist is unimaginable for me! It should never happen. Never! As an obstetrician I would also like to add the following: In your statement ou forgot your extremely important role especially in hospitals without neonatology: you not only help in saving mothers lives! You also help saving babies lives! And one thing should also be mentioned: anaesthesiologists dedicated to obstetrics are very special. It would be so much easier for you to work in a field with a high proportion of elective medicine during daylight times. Willing to work in obstetrics however means to be available on an 365/7/24 basis. We obstetricians know what we are talking about! Thanks for your excellent work! Thanks for your statement!
