Today I went to my little one's school celebration for Mother's day. The activities included: 1. Put some make-up on mom's face 2. Prepare a sandwich 3. Decorate a muffin While I don't want to start any gender/sexist debate here, this got me thinking. Is this, in 2023, still the idea of what kids can do with their mothers? Where are the fun games? Lego, puzzles, blocks, build a paper plane, plant some seeds? Just to mention a few simple ideas. I'm not saying that we should not decorating cupcakes and put makeup on. I'm saying that maybe we could ALSO do something which is not the hundreds years old stereotype. I will wait to know what the school will organize for Father's day, but meantime I'm gonna play some football and bike racing with my three daughters. #genderstereotypes #girlspower #mothersday

1yThose ideas are not even hundreds of years old, they are very much "first half of the 20th century", dating from the post war eras. I love your alternative suggestions and look forward to your next Mother's Day or Father's Day pictures.
