There’s a tree I drive by on my way home from work. I look forward to when this tree lights up in December because it stays lit all through March. For years, I’ve thought about writing this family to let them know how much I appreciate their tree, the landmark that lets me know I’m almost home to my loved ones. This is the year I finally did it - I left a note thanking them for their small act of kindness that’s been making me smile for 8 years. And that’s how I’m going to spend the rest of 2024, thanking people for the small everyday things that make my day joyful. Take that moment, thank the people who mean the most to you and the people who’s small acts make your day brighter. Happy Holidays & Cheers to a New Year! #gratitude #joyful #momentsthatmatter
Great tree…! Remember when you gave Operations all the lights & we “decked the halls” - for real. You are an act of kindness & thanking you once again. Merry Christmas Amanda…!
You 100% made their day!
This! My neighbor decorates his horse barn and I echo the same sentiments! It's beautiful to pause for a moment, take a breath of fresh air and feel gratitude. Thank you for sharing!
Amanda Wallace Lovely story. Perhaps the words “I finally did it” can be meaningful in all our lives.
It’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I think the asymmetric light strands make it look soft. So pretty.😍
The story and tree are gorgeous!
Inspiring!

2dThis is where I am in my life now, Amanda. I’m trying to share with people — close to me or “strangers” — my gratitude for them or their actions. It’s so important, for them and for me! This summer I organized a surprise visit to two former high school teachers with some classmates. It meant so much to all of us to be able to tell them how they had impacted all of our lives. Happy Holidays to you and your family! Grateful that our paths crossed and we remain in community.
