On March 27th, MiTech Services had the privilege of presenting to the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce. We explained the details surrounding PCI Compliance to some of the best business owners in North Texas. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) are changing as of TODAY! While it might sound like an April Fool’s joke, we can assure you that PCI DSS 4.0 is completely legitimate (and adherence is required). Failure to comply with PCI standards can result in monthly non-compliance fees that will appear on merchant reports. Non-compliance can also increase bank transaction fees which banks use to offset risk. There are potential legal consequences and loss of reputation with customers and vendors. MiTech Services can audit your merchant and cybersecurity systems to determine PCI compliance. We work with companies found non-compliant to update systems and eliminate monthly fines and lower transaction fees. We also celebrate with those companies that are already fully compliant! Contact us at [email protected] to learn more about the audit process and schedule an assessment.

We are pleased to announce that Secfense will be participating in the Cooperative Banking Technology Forum for the third time. This two-day event is a key gathering for the cooperative banking sector in Poland. Join us on the first day, Monday, May 27, from 14:30 to 16:05, for a fireside chat during session 3 titled "Cybersecurity of the Cooperative Banking Sector: Resource and Budget Availability. Threats and New Prospects. Can All Cooperative Banks Afford Cybersecurity to the Necessary Extent?" Our Sales Director, Krzysztof Gozdz, together with Bartosz Cieszewski, will talk about the ongoing challenges of cyberattacks on bank accounts and why, despite regulations and legal pressures, many financial institutions have yet to adopt multi-factor authentication (MFA). We will discuss the complexities and costs of implementing such security measures across various IT systems and address concerns about user acceptance. We will also show how to easily and quickly secure all web applications and VPN systems in the bank, making user accounts resistant to attacks and ensuring users appreciate the benefits of strong authentication. With the DORA regulation coming into effect soon, it is crucial to enhance your bank's cybersecurity now. We invite you to engage with us, discuss your concerns, and use the remaining months to ensure compliance and improve security. Looking forward to seeing you at the conference! #ForumTechnologiiBS
