Vero to begin its MVNO expansion into 300 cities The Brazilian mobile virtual network operator (#MVNO) and broadband telecommunications provider #Vero, is beginning the expansion of its mobile telephony service to 126 new cities, this week. With this move, Vero will operate its services in 300 municipalities where it also provides broadband. The MVNO is operating via TIM's network – which already enabled Americanet's MVNO, before its merger with Vero last year. Vero's executive director of sales and marketing, José Carlos Rocha, told TELETIME that expanding its operations in the segment was one of the group's goals in the midst of the business merger. "This block of 126 cities is a major launch and the first big step towards continuing this process," he said. Vero's mobile service currently has around 185,000 subscribers, the vast majority of whom are in the state of São Paulo. As of June it had 1.34 million broadband subscribers. "We have 420 cities operating with the broadband network. In this sense, we expect to mature the customer experience and aim to have the [mobile] service in all the cities where we operate in the medium term ," said the director. The commitment to include mobile telephony is based on its "one stop shop" concept. In this concept, Vero intends to position itself as a "hub" capable of bringing together several services from a single provider, explained José Carlos Rocha. The operator has followed the same strategy by integrating different streaming platforms into its broadband plans. Another move that will be implemented gradually in mobile is the inclusion of 5G coverage in plans, as well as the arrival of services in state capitals (MVNO is now available in Florianópolis, says Rocha). The offer is also considered suitable for corporate use, including in the M2M market. https://lnkd.in/gMFagqgB

A middle-of-the-road offering from StarHub, to compete with cheaper 2.5Gbps and 1Gbps offerings, even as 10Gbps is the top-tier service today in Singapore. The wide disparity in prices from smaller players (e.g. Simba and MyRepublic) as well as this rush to upgrade speeds reflects the disruption in the market again after stable prices for years. That's not a bad thing for consumers. Many will be tempted to upgrade to faster speeds despite their home network gear not able to catch up with the link to the Internet. Since prices are going to be as low as or even lower than their existing 1Gbps services, there is little risk in switching over.

An Introduction to MVNOs 🌐 “Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) market size was valued at US$ 81750.0 million in 2022 and is expected to expand at a CAGR of 8.79% during the forecast period, reaching US$ 135525.0 million by 2031.” https://lnkd.in/dr3rtDrZ Wow, this is massive news! And what's even more thrilling is the way the industry is shaking things up to innovate, especially with the skyrocketing growth of MVNOs – Mobile Virtual Network Operators. So, if you're curious about what they are, check out my quick summary below: 1. 🗼 The MNO’s – Mobile Network Operators: So, imagine you have a mobile phone network like Vodafone, AT&T, or T-Mobile. These big companies own all the infrastructure like cell towers and cables that allow you to make calls, send texts, and use the internet on your phone. They're like the landlords of the phone world. 2. 📲 Now, a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) is like a tenant who rents space from these big companies but doesn't own any of the infrastructure themselves. Instead of building their own cell towers and cables, they just pay to use the existing network owned by the big companies. 3. 📶 But here's where it gets interesting. While they're using the same network, MVNOs can brand and market their services differently. They might offer cheaper plans, focus on specific customer groups like students or seniors, or bundle their services with other products like streaming subscriptions. So, to sum it up, MVNOs are like the Airbnb of the mobile phone world. They rent space from the big network landlords and offer their own unique services to customers without having to build their own infrastructure. Now whilst this concept it fairly simple, we have huge industry disruptors using this simple knowledge to create magic! 😍 💡 Admiring what we do at Next Communications, we provide a concept of “The Next Model In Connectivity” - The Next Model in Connectivity offers brands to avail managed mobile network infrastructure on a subscription model. Find out more https://lnkd.in/dsXEPcmP Thanks for joining me on this learning journey! Next up, we'll delve into the reasons behind MVNOs and how they work, exploring the fascinating architecture that powers them!
