I had the privilege of attending the two-day National Conference on "Circular Economy-2024 - Industrial By-Product Utilisation and Value Creation," held on October 3rd and 4th at the SNTI auditorium. Organized by Tata Steel, the Indian Ceramic Society (Jamshedpur Chapter), and CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, the event covered key topics such as geopolymer technology, steel slag usage, fly ash valorisation, red mud utilisation, and waste recycling .it was inspiring to hear from experienced professionals who shared their knowledge on how by-products like LD slag, red mud can be transformed into valuable resources for road construction, cement production, soil improvement, and metal recovery. These insights not only highlighted the potential for sustainability but also sparked my curiosity to explore further in this field. The experience significantly enhanced my understanding of the circular economy and its role in driving innovation and resource efficiency in the steel industry and beyond.#CircularEconomy2024 #Sustainability #ByProductUtilization #Innovation #WasteToValue
