A great evening watching Brentford FC vs Leicester FC at the Gtech stadium in West London. I’ve been fortunate to attend a few games now at the Gtech Stadium and it’s always an enjoyable and family friendly atmosphere here. It says a lot about the exemplarily leadership and defined culture that’s been built under Club Director Phil Giles, Head coach Thomas Frank and their Performance Director Ben Ryan. Let’s remember that this is a club that has the 2nd lowest budget in the premier league. Extraorinary! How do they achieve this? 3 Things: 1. Character comes first 2. A buy-in to the clubs values and vision 3. Always give your best Brentford FC invest a lot in creating a world class culture and an environment of doing things right. I’ve been lucky to have been allowed inside their training facilities and experience it for myself. I’ve always said that you can tell what an organizations culture is like within 5 minutes of arriving there: 3 things: 1. Front gate ‘attitude’ 2. Reception ‘attitude’ 3. Walking through the hallways ‘attitude’ If the right attitude isn’t there, the right culture isn’t there. Simple. From Jo at the gate, to the reception and through the hallways, the people at Brentford walk the the talk. It’s a great example for other organizations.
