Campaign structure for a low-budget local home-service business with a 100mi (160km) radius service area? [Google Ads] I'm trying to decide on the best campaign structure for my business. The service I offer could be broken up into 10 or so sub-services, but my service area covers 4 or 5 medium-sized cities and 10+ smaller cities. I'm debating having one campaign that has 10 ad groups to cover each sub-service, including an ad group to cover the general service. I'm also considering having one or more campaigns to cover the locations, but with technically 15+ cities to cover, I'm not sure the best way to go about it, especially with a smaller budget. Should I make 4 or 5 separate campaigns to target the medium cities only and let the potential customer assume that I also service their nearby city? If so, would it be beneficial to have all 10 ad groups of my sub-services for each city or would just an ad group for my general services suffice? I'd hope that anyone searching for my sub-services would be offered up ads from my other non-location based campaign that should trigger due to the geofencing settings I selected. EDIT: I'm also considering an additional campaign to target my business name and/or competitors business names, at least as a trial. #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Low Exposure and no clicks on my shopping campaigns I have restarted a shopping campaign on google ads for about half a week now, but cant seem to get any exposure on it. I have in total recieved around 10 impressions and no clicks. The issue should not be with the bid since it is over double what bid is for the highest interval. I then tried starting a pmax no feed campaign, but that does not seem to offer any help neither. I have been running ads on google for a agency for about a year and have spent countless hours in google ads, but have never experienced anything like this. I tried contacting google, but there was no help in that. All levels of the campaign is active, and i cannot find any issues in troubleshooting. This is my own webshop and is not related to the agency. Has anyone experience this before and if so how did you overcome this issue? PS. it is only 4 products that i am advertising for, and the budget is around 50 us dollars a day. #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Unpausing successful seasonal campaign, max clicks or max conversions first? I run a seasonal christmas light installation business, and had a solid Google ads campaign last year that ran from mid Oct-end of Nov and generated 150+ conversions at $16/conv. I started on max clicks, then went to max conversions then max conv value. I paused the campaign in December of 2023 due to the season being over and I just unpaused the campaign to start advertising again this year (campaign unpaused 9/9/24). I’ve ran it for 5 days in max conversions and haven’t seen any conversions come through. I’m getting impressions and I am spending my $50/day budget (total $170 so far), and I understand it’s still early in the season so people’s behavior is different compared to Oct/nov. My question is do I keep on max conversions and hope everything irons itself out, or do I switch to max clicks to try and generate conversions first then move to max conversions? We are planning on getting our budget up to $120/day starting Oct. 1st as well. #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Local service business, use city name in ad group keywords AND/OR exclusively geotarget said city? [Google Ads] I'm restructuring my Google Ads campaign for each main city in my local service area, and I'm not sure what the best approach is. Should I geotarget each city-based campaign for just that city? Should I geotarget my entire service area and then add the city name as a keyword for each ad group? Or should I have no geotargeting at all and just rely solely on the city name keywords? Also, when I create a general "filler" campaign to cover all the in-between small towns/cities, should I geotarget all the counties that I service and then just exclude each main city from this campaign so that I don't get overlap? #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

As of August 18, 2024, Google Ads has announced several updates to its products and services, including: Ad placement Search ads can now appear in different positions relative to organic results, including below them for some queries. Google has updated its definitions of top ads and other terms in the Help Center to reflect these changes. Performance Max New features include customer lifecycle goals and search themes. Customer lifecycle goals help users tailor campaigns to acquire and retain customers, while search themes help Performance Max serve placements that users may not be reaching yet. Video Reach Campaigns (VRC) VRC has been expanded to allow users to showcase video ads in multiple formats, including in-feed, in-stream, and Shorts. Google AI-powered tests show that campaigns using all three formats can achieve a 54% greater reach at a 42% lower cost per thousand impressions (CPM) than in-stream-only VRC. New design A new Google Ads design will be available to all markets starting August 30, 2024. #adwords #digitalmarketing #seo #googleads #marketing #googleadwords #google #ppc #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia #facebookads #onlinemarketing #webdesign #digitalmarketingagency #sem #website #branding #marketingdigital #advertising #contentmarketing #digitalagency #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #facebook #instagram #searchenginemarketing #ads #business #m #digitalmarketingtips

Suspend the client's account? We have a client that has 4 separate ad accounts under our MCC. They have decided to pause all campaigns. Normally I have no problem giving them unlimited access to their accounts to retrieve their data, which is only fair. However in this case, they haven't paid us in 3-4 months and have a fairly large balance due. We've been patient and have sent them multiple reminders. I don't necessarily want to discuss this situation here, why it happened, what to do, etc. I'm also not interested in debating on whether we pros should manage client's own accounts or accounts under our MCC. That's a valid debate to have at another time. My question for now is: Would it really be a wrong move to remove them from the accounts? Yes, it's their data, but at the same time it's data within accounts we managed and haven't gotten paid for our services. What would you do in this instance? #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Should I see my own Google Shopping Ads Hi All, Should I see my Google Shopping Ads when searching for my top search terms? I sell wood range hoods that range in price from approx. $600-$2000. I have 33 SKU’s active in Google Shopping Ads. 5 of them have high click potential according to Google Merchant Center. When I search "wood range hood" which apparently gets me a lot of impressions, I rarely see one of my products near the top of the shopping feed. Should I see my own ads or is this Google knowing that I am not the target customer? I figured by searching relevant keywords, my ads would show higher. Also, I just started this shopping campaign 10 days ago. I have 152k impressions, 2k clicks and no conversions. I feel like I am missing out on something here. I have a 20% impression share, I would love that to get higher. #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Segment best sellers into 2 ad groups with different troas. Hello, I'm a beginner with Google Ads. I just started my account in January to promote our products through shopping ads. I'm running a Smart Shopping campaign that is performing quite well (at least from my perspective). In September, I got 438.4 conversions with a ROAS of 7.2. Recently, I started segmenting products based on best sellers. I created a custom label for my best-selling products, and I plan to exclude the others into a separate campaign with a lower budget. The challenge I’m facing is that my best sellers range from low-priced products with a 33% margin to higher-priced products with the same margin. In between, I have some products with a 70-80% margin, but they're just slightly more expensive than the cheapest ones. Now, I'm considering segmenting the best sellers into two ad groups: one for the 33% margin products with a higher target ROAS and another for the higher-margin products with a lower troas. My question is: Will moving the products into a different ad group to adjust the target ROAS affect them? I believe I need to exclude them first before adding them to the new ad group. (At least, that’s my understanding.) Thank you in advance! #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

Google Ads Low Funnel Shopping Campaigns Showing for Broad Keywords Hi everyone, We've been running shopping campaigns with a High-Medium-Low funnel structure for over a year: high funnel for broad terms, medium for branded terms, and low for product-specific terms, using manual CPC as our bidding strategy. Recently, we've noticed an issue where one of our low-funnel ad groups started spending and showing for generic terms meant for the high funnel. This happened even though prioritization settings are correct, and it's not a budget issue (this happened before to one ad group and the search terms fixed itself after removing the limited by budget in the campaign and this one still had the same issue without any limited by budget showing). Each campaign is also running on it's own budget and we stopped using shared budgets all together. Also, all keywords for this ad group that had this issue are exact match. What could be causing this, and how can we fix it? #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce

"Our PPC is fine. We don't need an audit." I hear this all the time. But when I dig into the data, here's what I find: • 78% of accounts have incorrect conversion tracking, leading to misleading performance metrics. • 61% of budgets are being wasted on underperforming keywords that aren't driving valuable traffic. • 43% of campaigns aren't using ad extensions effectively, missing out on higher click-through rates and better ad placement. PPC is constantly evolving. Strategies that worked last year might be draining your budget today. Regular audits aren't just beneficial—they're essential. What's holding you back from ensuring your PPC strategy is optimized? #PPCStrategy #MarketingROI #PPCAudit #SEM #DigitalMarketing #Googleads

Can someone ELI5 this for me? I own a brick and mortar healthcare adjacent business. It's my 3rd month in business and 3rd with my agency. Months 1 and 2 were slow, but call tracking showed that the PMAX campaign was working and we were getting leads/calls. In September, it's gone cold. I logged into my analytics and expected to see crappy numbers, saw that conversions were WAY up compared to month 1 and 2 (like, almost triple and we aren't even through the month yet). I reached out to my agency and got this reply. I'm clearly not a PPC expert but I feel like something is way off here and whoever this is that emailed me back didn't really analyze anything. Any advice here? https://lnkd.in/dxF692hJ #ppc #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #googleads #digitalmarketingagency #socialmedia #webdesign #onlinemarketing #sem #smm #smo #payperclick #searchengineoptimization #google #contentmarketing #branding #business #advertising #emailmarketing #googleadwords #webdevelopment #adwords #facebookads #seoservices #websitedevelopment #searchenginemarketing #website #ecommerce
