While there’s more to it, that’s the core of what they do. Their focus is on building and connecting with the community through engaging visuals and storytelling. There’s definitely some overlap between the two roles, but they serve different purposes. It’s also important to note that while many Social Media Managers may offer content creation, not all do, and some may prefer not to. There’s often an assumption that SMMs will handle content creation too, but that’s not always the case. Understanding this distinction can help set clearer expectations when working with social media professionals.
