Meet Joshua Lange, a Cancer Research Scientist who #LearnedWithCodecademy to make his daily workflow a little easier — and a lot faster! Joshua realized he needed to learn how to process massive amounts of data efficiently. His brother, a Software Engineer, suggested Joshua learn Python to automate his work. Through coding and bioinformatics, tasks that once took hours to process now only take him 15 seconds! His biggest piece of advice? Don’t wait for someone to tell you to start learning. “I saw a problem, decided to make a change in my job, and now programming is part of my role rather than having to switch careers completely. You don’t have to change careers; you can make your current job better.” Head on over to the Codecademy blog, In Development, to read Joshua’s full story, how he made time to learn while working a full-time job, and his advice for people looking to upskill in their current role.
