More than ever, organizations focus on building a staff that aligns with their values and goals. A team with the right tech stack and abilities to complete the project while fitting administrative priorities. Here’s where the conversation about how and who to partner with comes up. In IT, two popular models are worth comparing: #StaffAugmentation and Consulting. 👉🏻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 means adding the necessary skills and talent to your team for a specific, time-limited project. Integrating professionals is a great way to complement your staff so you can meet your goals cost-efficiently and easily without worrying about hiring hassles. 👉🏻 On the other hand, 𝗜𝗧 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 is an effective solution to keep up with the changing tech trends and get personalized assistance on your specific project so you, as a CTO, CEO, or VP of engineering, can select the next steps, whether that ends up being staff augmentation, maybe building your team, or hiring a nearshore partner. But how can you make the decision? It will depend on what you need. Perhaps you found a skill gap during your current project or are planning a full organizational transformation and need an objective assessment on how to proceed, each case is unique. If you had identified a skill gap or need additional expertise for a time-limited project, staff augmentation could be the ideal solution to quickly fill that need with specialized talent. However, if the requirement is a broader strategic guidance, objective assessments, or assistance in navigating complex tech trends, consulting services might be more suitable. Ultimately, the decision is driven by project goals, timeline, and budget!
