"Release" means operational. The fact is that Recall is already installed in the system as of 24H2. It is there and activated by default with no way to disable or remove. It is not operational but it is there ready.

1moHaving reviewed many articles on the Recall tool to be released by Microsoft, it is interesting that people are harping on the privacy and security implications yet are not pulling the invisibility cloak off the elephants in the room which is “Corporate Monitoring of users”. One may even be mistaken with the understanding that these images may have an impact on personal and business security as you may be able to switch it off. The security doctrine to remove unused software or applications from the host will be laughable. Howlong will it take for local repositories to be copied to the cloud or compromised?
