Vice President, Resident Outcomes & CORES at Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF)

Bringing about transformational change in resident outcomes and well-being requires that housing providers, policymakers and funders strive for more than ‘good enough’ and address the barriers to giving people real power and choice where they live. Measuring satisfaction can be a helpful first step in understanding residents’ experiences in affordable housing, but for outcomes and impact-oriented housing providers, measuring residents’ perceptions of their agency, voice and power is the next step to understanding how we can create more equitable, healthy communities. Check out our recent blog that explores some of these ideas and a new resource guide that outlines practical steps for housing providers to better understand and assess how empowered and engaged residents feel within their community.

Measuring residents' perceptions of agency, voice, and belonging is a critical step toward creating more equitable, healthy communities. We’re excited to share our latest blog post highlighting our updated resource guide, “Revisiting Measuring Agency & Voice,” which focuses on centering residents' voices in affordable housing. This guide offers practical steps for housing providers to assess whether residents feel empowered and engaged in their communities, building on our ongoing commitment to improving resident well-being. Our work on measuring agency and voice is made possible thanks to the generous support of the RWJF. Discover how you can enhance resident outcomes by reading our blog at https://lnkd.in/eEyCV-iK and accessing the updated resource guide at https://lnkd.in/eHZxYvNV. #AffordableHousing #ResidentAgency #CommunityEmpowerment
