Just walking through central London and I passed this place. Formerly Bupa House - the global HQ - it’s now a coworking space “for people to innovate, connect and thrive”. It made me think about everyone I loved working with during my 7 years at Bupa, and how change is bittersweet but #renewal requires it. I’ve always said leaving colleagues is also about finding friends. You realise there are some people you don’t need to be paid to spend time with! I’ve felt super grateful to all my former colleagues and contacts who’ve been so supportive over the years. Thanks to everyone who’s been in touch with ideas and encouragement as I’ve gone through my own bit of renovation and renewal. It’s been a time of some frankly hugely meaningful conversations, connections and reconnections. They’ve meant so much. I said I’d take the Spring to experiment and grow some new shoots (cheesey I know, but true). Now, things are definitely starting to blossom… I’ve set up shop in leadership and organisational growth and development and am already loving working with some great leaders and their teams to help them make their own renewals and be set for success. If you’re interested in knowing more, let me know… #coaching #counsel #growth
Sounds very exciting. Can’t wait to hear more x

Great post - and great necklace 😉 Looking forward to catching up soon.
Great post Alex. I love the phrase ‘You realise there are some people you don’t need to be paid to spend time with!’ I’ve found at least one of those in every role in my career (love the hair btw!) Margaret Oscar (CIIC) Clair Ashley Shelley Stuart Sarah Howe Alison Clarke Trine Hindklev
So many happy memories. We should do a big reunion!
Good for you for taking time to nurture some seeds Alex! It would be fab to reconnect at some point if you fancy a catch up!
Great to see your dial Alex, and glad to hear things are going well for you.
That building. What great memories. Good to hear about your new path.
So here’s the thing, I worked there too, just not with you Alex Cole and I now work 20 yards away! And the place where we did work together, 33 Holborn, I now frequent working with Octopus! It’s a mad world!

6moIt’s always fun to see where and how all the great people you’ve worked with evolve, grow and develop. Thanks for sharing what’s going on in your world. I’m thinking about those very lucky leaders and teams learning and being supported by you.
