Great letter to the The New York Times by my colleague Noah Cohen-Cline making an excellent argument for the role of public procurement - and specifically school meals- in supporting #sustainablediets. Not only does this provide more equitable outcomes for students, but public institutional demand can serve as anchor market for stronger local food systems and supporting regional farmers.
