It is probably the most powerful book on people-centric health and well-being I have ever read. What at first seemed like a random purchase in the Stansted airport's bookstore (on my way to sunny ☀ Turkey) turned out to be the greatest impression of the year so far. The book, written by a patient-investigative journalist for patients in people's language, addresses not only the WHAT - new weight loss drugs - including all the benefits and drawbacks but, most importantly, the WHY - the broader context of obesity - and the HOW - beyond the pill. "…I do not live in a better future. I live in the imperfect present, and here, I have to weigh the risks of being obese against the risks posed by these drugs…" And my favourite one - "…some people say the main reason they survived the pandemic was the vaccine; for me, it was Uber Eats…." 😂 https://amzn.eu/d/g9yW91u #patientcentricity #patientcenteredhealthcare #realworlddata #realworldevidence #rwe #rwd #data #healthcare #biopharma #medicalaffairs #magicpill #johannhari
