Neural networks were first criticized because we couldn't understand their "black box" decision-making. Now we're discovering that forcing them to explain everything in human terms might actually be holding them back. Sometimes, progress means letting go of our need to understand every step of the process. Meta's researchers noticed three big problems with making AI explain everything: 1️⃣ Most of what the AI writes is just filler - all those "therefore" and "next" transitions that don't add any real value 2️⃣ The AI gets stuck at critical moments because it has to commit to specific words instead of exploring multiple paths 3️⃣ It wastes enormous effort making sure its explanations sound grammatically correct instead of actually solving the problem This suggests we might need to rethink how we interact with AI. Instead of always demanding explicit explanations, we might need to develop new ways to understand and guide AI reasoning that don't rely on forcing it to "show its work" in human terms. https://lnkd.in/d43Ztc5C

Stop stressing over AI "reasoning"—focus on what really matters. There’s a lot of noise lately about whether AI, particularly LLMs, can truly reason. Critics argue that without reasoning, AI is fundamentally flawed. But here’s the thing: do we really need LLMs to reason in the philosophical sense? Neural networks, LLMs, and even traditional statistical models all share one thing in common—they’re inherently imperfect(just like us). They were never designed to be "always right." Instead, their strength lies in producing good enough outcomes to tackle real-world problems. And frankly, "good enough" has driven a multibillion-dollar industry that’s transforming every sector imaginable. Rather than obsessing over whether LLMs can think like humans, shouldn’t we ask: Can they help solve the specific problem in front of us? How can we fine-tune or prompt-engineer them to better fit our use case? The beauty of this tech isn’t in mimicking human reasoning; it’s in unlocking utility across niches—from drafting legal documents to brainstorming creative ideas. Instead of debating semantics, let’s focus on designing solutions and maximizing impact. At the end of the day, it’s not about what AI can’t do—it’s about what it can. And that’s already changing the world.

AI is so much more than just large language models and chatbots. To truly understand the depth of AI, we need to embrace the core concept at its foundation: Solving a Problem through Search. This isn’t just about algorithms or models; it’s about intelligently navigating vast solution spaces, identifying patterns, and finding answers in ways that mimic problem-solving and decision-making in the real world. For those wanting to dive deep into AI, understanding the role of search in AI is essential. It’s the backbone that underpins everything from classic AI systems to modern neural networks. #AI #MachineLearning #ProblemSolving

AI Image Generation: #My Journey From skeptic to enthusiast - my AI image generation journey has been nothing short of fascinating! When I first started exploring text-to-image AI, I'll be honest - my initial results were mediocre. My first thought? "Nah, this isn't going to work." But then I dove deep into understanding the technical magic behind the scenes: - Grasping the intricacies of U-Net models - Exploring diffusion models - Learning how to train AI to create images that truly match text descriptions - Reducing noise and improving image quality What seemed complex gradually became more intuitive. The key? Understanding the code and models that power these incredible AI capabilities. Just finished "AI Workshop: Text-to-Image Generation" by Jonathan Fernandes! The transformative impact of AI on the market! Josh Fischer & Khaled Ali talks about how AI is going to have a major impact on the market, similar to how the internet impacted the market. We're currently in the early stages of AI, like the late 90s for the internet, where less than half the market has adopted the technology. But there will come a day when you can't exist without this new AI technology. Josh shared his excitment to dive deep into AI, machine learning, and neural networks to understand how this technology will impact the e-commerce world, and that he want to build tools with this new technology. #ai #machinelearning #neuralnetworks #ecommerce #futureoftechnology
