Here is the video illustrating my poem, "Old Glory".
"Old Glory" should grab every American's heart ... as it is a constant, proud ... reminder of an ... iconic flag ... cherished by every generation of our beloved USA ... since July 4, 1776!

Sun Tzu's Art of War is perhaps the best and most enduring work on strayegy. The book is also the source of some widely used quotes. But by far my favorite **"Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win."** This quote captures the essence of strategy - that you cannot win in battle or in life without: - a clear vision of what our goals are, - a full understanding of our strengths and weaknesses, and - a clear plan on how we can use our available resources to achieve our goals. Failure, on the other hand may result from lack of vision, improper assessment of your relative strengths and weaknesses, lack of proper planning or inability to implement our plans.

Just imagine if we all truly understood our history; it’s likely that the specter of war would fade significantly from our lives. When we know the stories of our past—our triumphs, our failures, and the lessons learned—we become more empathetic and aware of the consequences of conflict. By recognizing the patterns that have led to division and strife throughout history, we can work together to foster dialogue and understanding instead of resorting to violence. Knowledge of history has the power to unite us, helping us see that our shared experiences, both good and bad, can guide us toward a more peaceful future. By learning from our past, we might just create a world where war is no longer a viable option.
