Alex Cheney’s Post

As many of you know, I left a well-paying, great job at a fantastic company earlier this year to start my own business. Some may call it "crazy," others might say "brave" (or maybe "insane" — I've heard both). Either way, let me take you on this wild ride. Built an amazing team (special shoutout to Tahir Akhtar, who has been nothing short of a superhero, managing my endless questions and my slightly unreasonable expectations). Launched our platform (a little late, but who’s counting?). Listened to our customers, and somehow added more features than I ever thought were humanly possible in record time. Had so many sleepless nights questioning my life choices... (spoiler alert: I’m still questioning, but I think I made the right call). Had some very difficult conversations with the team (did I mention I’m a perfectionist?). Learned more about AI than I ever thought my brain could handle, especially how it can massively increase productivity (I'm still trying to figure out if AI can answer all my emails though). Met some truly fascinating people who helped shape the product (and yes, I still remember all their names). Done more demos than I care to count (I now have a professional “demo” face, it’s a gift). Received countless "thanks, but no thanks" (my personal favorite: "we’ll keep you in mind... forever"). Been ghosted more times than a haunted house at Halloween. It's okay, I get it. Are we where we need to be? NO. Will we get there? YES, absolutely! Overall, I’ve loved every minute of it. Well, except for the sleepless nights and the ghosting. But everything else? Totally worth it. If entrepreneurship feels like a rollercoaster, hang on tight. I'm here for the ride — and always happy to share the highs, the lows, and the "uh-oh" moments. PS. a little photo of me in the Dolomites. #startup #successionplanning #AI #talentacquisition #ghosted #pajamasAndProductivity

We also know without risk, there is no reward! I will continue to help any way I can with the platform. I also know we will continue to see great things from the innovative work you are doing.
