Getting ready for my last day in Waldorf. It’s been a week of learning from my amazing teammate Ralf Wagner, connecting with many colleagues, and experiencing a bit of German culture. So fortunate to have the opportunity to visit, and looking forward to next time!

Starting my fourth week at Fairmont State University! Even with 18 credit hours, I have been able to maintain my academics, social life, and physical fitness goals.
Here's some of my tips to keep me on track:
1-Time Management: Planning out what you do daily or even weekly can ensure that everything you NEED to get done, gets done. This also helps me feel less stressed as I can see everything mapped out.
2-Hobbies: Of course you need to stay on top of your academics, but finding hobbies that can clear your head is so important. I play pickup basketball and lift weights to stay healthy, but also it clears my head and allows me to tackle my academic work more efficiently.
3-Faith: I grew up in the church and was taught the importance of growing a relationship with God at a young age. Praying every day and growing my faith is a great reminder to me of what's most important in this life.
Let's have a great week!

Opportunity.
When I can, I take the opportunity to educate others on traditions and causes behind them.
Working in a truly diverse setting, but seeing little in terms of seizing these opportunities is actually…well…exciting.
Our world is fast.
Everything is now, now, now…go, go, go…move, move, move. (Stole that from Daffy Duck)
It is important to share meanings behind traditions, holidays, and celebrations/remembrances.
Did this for the week leading up to Memorial Day.
So maybe it will spark a conversation. A learning moment. A pause as we plan in and around the upcoming holiday.
It IS a fast world.
Not TOO fast to forget what remains important and meaningful.

Life is filled with big moments, graduations, weddings, job promotions. But it’s the small victories that often bring the most joy and build the foundation for bigger successes. Whether it’s finally mastering a new recipe, finishing a good book, or having a productive day at work, these little wins matter. They remind us that progress is made one step at a time. Celebrating these small achievements boosts our confidence, motivates us to keep going, and teaches us to find joy in the journey, not just the destination.
Each small victory is like a stepping stone, helping us grow stronger and more resilient. When we take the time to celebrate these moments, we acknowledge our efforts and give ourselves the encouragement to keep moving forward. Life isn’t just about the big, flashy milestones; it’s about appreciating the little moments that make every day special. So, let’s remember to celebrate these small victories, they add up to something truly wonderful and help us see the beauty in everyday life.
𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒔: 𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒋𝒐𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕…
We had our Be That Guy group session last night.
Our coching program for guys 18-25.
Our topic was about fulfillment.
We settled on the fact that we felt most fulfilled when we had a purpose.
Whether that purpose was making someone smile, being good at your job or doing something hard.
We could experience that purpose in both small and big things.
That purpose made us feel significant.
We give out a scholarship each year at Hilton High School.
Part of the criteria of this scholarship is to explain how you’re helping others.
The attached picture is the first scholarship we ever gave out.
When we help others it’s a fast track to purpose.
We become of use and intertwine into a human web outside of ourselves.
𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒔: 𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒏’𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒓𝒖𝒕, 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔?
I imagine a number in my network are in the middle of a very busy period or about to get very busy as one financial year in Australia ends and the next one begins.
While there are a lot of things that will be done in this period, I have always tried to use these times (if not, more frequently) to stop and ask myself:
- How has the last 3/6/12 months gone?
- What has worked well and how can I do more of it? What should I be celebrating?
- What has not worked well and what can I learn to give myself a chance of a better outcome next time? Where can I apply this learning next?
- Who in my network have I not spoken to recently that I ought to?
- Who in my network needs more help that I can provide?
Deliberately spending time to stop, reflect, learn & look ahead is a good thing - it helps to give time to celebrate the wins as well as seek out ways to help others find their best in a world of possibilities.

Can you believe this year is half-way over already?😱
It feels like it was just yesterday we were all celebrating the start of a new year yelling "Happy New Year" 🎉
Whenever I get to this half-way mark I like to do a quick review of how I'm doing on my personal and professional goals, not to feel guilty if I'm not as far as I would've wanted to be, but to recognise where I can further add balance to completely smash the second half of the year out of the park🏌🏾
One thing I wanted to do this year is try something I've never done before, and one way I've done that so far is I successfully drove a boat out in the beautiful Vaal river! What a delightful and unforgettable experience this way!
What ares some goals you set out for yourself at the beginning of this year and what are some things you're proud of yourself for achieving so far?? Lets celebrate together in the comments! ↓
