RIP to RPA? Absolutely spot on Kimberly Tan. For those of you at F3, you’ll see the evidence for why during our demo at 1:25pm today on the main stage. 🔥 We’ve been on tour for the past week visiting customers & this is precisely the feedback we’re getting. Comparing us to previous RPA vendors, our customers are feeling the difference of AI automation + a highly engaged team helping them harness its power. One customer even told us, “be careful not to burn out”, because they saw us saying yes to every request & releasing so fast. ⚡ AI workers have truly opened the door to automation in a way that RPA never quite could - something that’s explained beautifully in this a16z article with mention to HappyRobot’s logistics application. - AI doesn’t require you to define every single logical step like an RPA workflow does. Simply provide an AI worker with their goal & the context needed to achieve it & they’re off. - Because the flow isn’t so rigid, exceptions to the standard don’t break it. You’ll never be able to capture every potential response a person could give on a phone call. AI automation is dynamic & can react to any response while keeping its goal in mind & redirecting the conversation when needed. - We can get this implemented in under a week - sometimes under a day - compared to the previous expensive year long implementations that ultimately provide underwhelming results. You can see the impact of AI automation immediately & then continue to expand into other use cases. Grateful to live in an age where this technology is possible. & For customers who are just as excited about it as we are. 💪 https://lnkd.in/gnf8-sBb

The criticism towards #RPA has been gaining momentum with the rise of #EnterpriseAIAgents and #GenAI-powered autonomous agents. Having spent nearly a decade deep in the RPA space, I can’t help but draw similar conclusions to this excellent thought leadership piece from Andreessen Horowitz. When I see AI agents in action, the biggest takeaway is this: we are now entering the realm of automating custom decisions and context—the very essence of what makes a business unique. This is something that rule-based automation couldn’t touch, simply because encoding all the logic into if/else rules was just too complex. So, automation is no longer only about cookie-cutter tasks in shared service centers. The big question now is: what’s the outcome of this new frontier? 🤖 LLMs have eaten rule-based chatbots. Will AI agents eat RPA? 😞 It's fair to say most RPA softwares have over-promised and under-delivered during the past two decades. Are LLMs here to rescue? According to a recent article by Andreessen Horowitz, we're shifting from "Automation 1.0" (RPA) to "Automation 2.0" (AI agents based automation) where tremendous opportunities reside for startups to reimagine intelligent automation vertically and horizontally. Personally, I would place my bet on automation solutions that elegantly combine the possibilities and flexibility of agents with the deterministic characteristics of RPA - harnessing the best of both worlds. 🤔 What's your take? https://lnkd.in/dNFswFYi #GenAI #AIAgent #LLM #RPA

Every company has ops work – whether it's data entry, doc extraction, info transfer, etc – that is essential for achieving business goals (e.g., booking a customer), but is highly mundane / repetitive and not the best use of employee time. Though some companies have attempted to use Robotic Process Automation (RPA), RPA was an imperfect solution since the tech just wasn't advanced enough yet. Thanks to AI, though, ops work can now be truly productized. In the future, AI agents will be prompted with an end goal (e.g., book an appointment) and be empowered with the right tooling and context to take those actions. They’ll be adaptable to various data inputs and will be able to handle process changes. Because of this flexibility, they will be far easier to implement and maintain than traditional RPA systems, making them more accessible for companies to use. https://lnkd.in/dv_JrJTH

𝗥𝗜𝗣 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗣𝗔: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 As AI advances, the era of true intelligent automation is upon us, marking a shift from traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Where RPA offered rule-based bots for repetitive tasks, new AI agents deliver adaptive, end-to-end solutions by interpreting goals and seamlessly performing complex tasks. Today, companies are moving beyond RPA’s limitations to reach automation in previously inaccessible areas, from healthcare to logistics. For example, Tennr in healthcare uses AI to streamline referral management, reducing manual input, while Happyrobot and Vooma optimise logistics operations. As this technology matures, platforms like CrewAI, a leading developer of multi-agent networks, are pioneering the next wave of intelligent automation. By building collaborative 'crews' of AI agents, platforms like CrewAI enables organisations to manage complex, multifaceted operations seamlessly across industries. Each agent in these networks brings specialised expertise, tools, orchestrating tasks such as data entry, communication, and process management across systems. This dynamic approach to automation empowers companies to move beyond operational bottlenecks and refocus on strategic growth. Exploring intelligent automation can redefine your operations and drive strategic growth—let's connect to discuss how AI can make this transformation possible.💬🤝💡 https://lnkd.in/g9Gvt3Zi #IntelligentAutomation #AI #DigitalTransformation #Automation #FutureOfWork #Innovation #BusinessOptimization #AIRevolution #Industry4_0
