And then there are those who will always do more than expected even when they don't feel valued hoping that one day, they will be valued appropriately. 🙏
Totally agree. Overall, people want to feel that their impact is unique and seen as a valuable contribution to the overall team. And a big call out about salary transparency. In the last company I worked for, some of the folks on my larger team had a 50k salary difference even though they were doing the same work (same job title and responsibilities). As a leader, this was a sticking point for me, as I had a responsibility to even the financial playing field.
Absolutely! When employees feel valued, it’s like unlocking a superpower. Recognizing their hard work and giving them room to grow can turn a job into a passion. When you invest in them, you get so much more in return: creativity, loyalty, and a team that truly cares about the mission. 🙌 I’ve seen it firsthand—appreciation can turn a ‘just doing my job’ attitude into ‘how can I contribute more?’
When employees feel valued - they bring their best selves to work. Thank you for sharing, Alec Rickard 💡
I completely agree with you, Alec. Feeling valued is a crucial factor in employee satisfaction and productivity. I think one of the best ways to make employees feel valued is by giving them recognition for their hard work and achievements. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture, even a simple thank you or a shoutout in a team meeting can go a long way. As for me, I always made an effort to recognize and appreciate contributions, which made them feel motivated to work even harder. Thanks for sharing these valuable insights!
Offering growth opportunities not only helps the team but strengthens the organisation overall.
Recognizing and valuing employees truly transforms the workplace. Empowering autonomy and transparency, combined with growth opportunities and team experiences, fosters a culture of trust and innovation. Thank you for sharing these insightful strategies! 🙌
This post really highlights the importance of appreciation in the workplace. Empowering employees and providing growth opportunities can truly enhance morale and output. Transparency around salaries also builds trust and fosters a positive culture. I remember a manager who consistently recognized team efforts, which made a big difference in our motivation.
Investing in people always pays off. Whether it’s training or experiences, it’s worth it.
