Learning to know to recognize: in our wine tasting, teamwork becomes essential. Collaboration is the key to achieving the goal, while time is the challenge to be met! A blind tasting experience that will stimulate team building.

Toxic environments are generally created by leaders with deep insecurities and a lack of self-awareness. At any level of an organisation, the team leader sets the culture with their actions and the words they use every single day.    As team leaders, we have a fantastic opportunity to motivate and inspire our respective teams. My approach is rooted in empathy and trust, focusing on both the external environment and the interactions within my team.   I believe in listening carefully and assessing the unique qualities each of my team brings to the table. At QSI we are fostering and encouraging an environment that builds trust to a greater and more personal level than team members are used to, as well as giving them the opportunity for individual growth by significantly raising their own self-awareness. I encourage challenge both within the team and of myself. If team members are challenging me, or each other, effectively then they are naturally engaged in what is being said or proposed.   I am convinced that when you reach the end of your career and retire, you will look back and most of your greatest memories will involve the people you worked with rather than the brands or companies. My goal is that in 20 years’ time everyone working in QSI today will look back and say that was the best team I ever worked in!   https://lnkd.in/eaaKQKYR   #QualitySpiritsInternational #Winningteam 

As a Restaurant Manager, it's essential to step back from direct involvement and position yourself in a corner where you can fully observe the floor. This allows you to monitor the allocation of each team member, track the movements of section holders, runners, and the entire staff. By reading the floor and understanding the overall mechanism, you can effectively lead your team. Much like a football coach who needs to stay off the field to see the entire game, stepping back enables you to make better decisions and ultimately avoid losing the match.

What do making a cup of coffee and creating a team have in common? Many factors are at play. First is the type of coffee you're making: espresso, doppio, moka, V60, cappuccino, latte, americano, ristretto... so starting with what you're brewing will help understand what kind of people are needed. Starting with the question: What am I doing? What end result am I aiming for? This will provide insights into what kind of team is needed. How does this apply to an existing team?

Distraction will derail even the most gifted team. I'm a pretty good baker. During my early expat days, job opportunities and friends were few. I dove headlong into a Great British Bakeoff binge and mastered delicacies from homemade sprinkles to choux pastry. Despite those culinary feats, I managed to absolutely roast muffins this weekend. Why? Distraction. A team that doesn't have a clear image of what needs to get done, when it needs to be accomplished, and why cannot perform. Daily distractions and competing priorities will derail their efforts. Focus -- at the macro level, is essential to keep everyone rowing in the same direction. This helps each team member prioritize tasks. When everyone knows with clarity what they need to do each day, you can make real progress. What has been a time distraction derailed you?

🍝 Teams are like Pasta The perfect Italian meal has the perfect amount of meat and sauce to compliment the noodles and cheese. The perfect Parmigiano Reggiano can make a red sauce sing the way shaved truffle can bring a white sauce to life. The same is true with teams and teamwork. Team dynamics can make or break a company. When a team works together, trusts one another, and covers each others’ weaknesses, the business hums. Leadership is about finding the perfect blend of ingredients and empowering individuals to lean into their strengths.
