So, my last post about tools and vendors blew up! The CMO of Gusto reacted and commented (kudos to the big companies that care about small businesses) and the post itself skyrocketed to 10k+ views. Just last week a fellow UCLA Anderson School of Management alumna randomly asked about platforms/systems business owners use. So, I thought it's about time to do a Part 2. Here we go: 1. KnowBe4 - great platform for security training at scale. Phishing tests, educational videos, reporting, etc. A bit weird pricing model when you use multiple products from them. For example, you need to align billing cycles and can't just add a solution off-cycle. 2. Mentimeter - a tiny tool we use at Distillery for company-wide quarterly All-Hands. Excels in collecting on-the-fly feedback on the presentation, gathering questions, and live reactions. Great example of the right tool for the job. 3. 1Password - simply saves time during rotations and increases security. Tell me if you NEVER reused your password? (and be honest about it :) ) 4. TargetRecruit - replacing the outgoing Bullhorn. I'm not saying anything bad about the latter, but our source of truth is Salesforce (aka necessary evil), and TargetRecruit is simply better integrated. 5.-ish One question - if your team uses LinkedIn Recruiter - how happy are your recruiters? Are we in the monopoly market with no available alternative?

✅ Salesforce facts #860 🤠 Sometimes in the emails sent from Salesforce, [email protected] is added automatically. This can be controlled from an email deliverability setting. Setup -> Email -> Deliverability -> Email Security Compliance section -> Uncheck the 'Enable Sender ID compliance' checkbox. Hello, witch! 💅🏻 I am surely taking my time to publish updates here, ain't I? Well, last week somebody casted a faringitis sigil on me and I couldn't talk for a considerable amount of time. Needless to say, I'm back and more magical than before! ✨ Very recently my Sorcerer colleagues discussed a few items to successfully cast the Email Specialist Ritual, and they have encountered various questions regarding the Sender Authentication Package. What did I do? Refer them to the incredible scroll included in 🔮 Coven of Technology 🔮 and told them to take a deep dive on the feature! (see https://lnkd.in/e6qcrem4) Why don't you follow the same advice and wisely invest some time to read more about it? 😉 #CovenOfTechnology #SenderAuthenticationPackage #Salesforce #MarketingCloud #Engagement

🔒🔍 Wrapping up this week with a deep dive into authentication and access within the realm of security and governance! 🛡️✨ The Security Operations Super Set has been my focus, comprising the Security Governance Specialist Superbadge and the Security Advocacy Specialist Superbadge. While I delved into the content of the Security Advocacy Specialist units this week, let me briefly outline what the Security Governance Specialist entails. This Specialist Superbadge primarily addresses setting up user authentication in the Salesforce org, exploring the options, advantages, and disadvantages of multifactor authentication and single sign-on in a business context, and overseeing them through reports and dashboards. It also covers monitoring users with special permissions and their usage to potentially adjust permissions if necessary, along with other features to securely handle sensitive customer data. This Super Set emphasizes security and covers various areas with the two Specialist Superbadges, preparing me as a future Salesforce admin for diverse use cases in the business context. While every Salesforce org is unique, it's crucial to have heard about and experienced individual features, setting a foundation for future endeavors. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to reconnecting next week! #Salesforce #Security #Governance #Superbadge #Authentication #Access #BusinessContext #DataSecurity #LearningJourney #WeekendVibes 🌟🔐 #womenintech #awesomeadmin #trailblazer #trailblazingwomen

"What do you do when your prospect asks you a question that could derail your demo?" Taylor Johnson brought this up during our weekly HSC Workshop last night (we have them every Wednesday). Remember, it is your job to guide the buyer through their buying journey... It's not always in either party's best interest to dive into the weeds of a question too early in a cycle. Here are a few tips for responding to these kinds of questions. 1. Always reverse: Respond to the question with a question to make sure you are actually aligned on what they are looking for ↳ Prospect: "Do you integrate with Salesforce?" ↳ You: "Happy to dive into that, curious why is that important to you? 2. Don't be afraid to punt: Sometimes getting into the weeds is actually going to set you and your buyer up for failure. ↳ Prospect: "How do you handle GDPR and other security concerns?" ↳ You: "I am more than happy to allocate some serious time to addressing any security-related questions you might have, candidly, I think it would be more beneficial to set up a separate call for that so I can bring in the right resources, is that fair?" Don't get me wrong, its often best to answer a question on the spot, but be super intentional about which questions might warrant another approach. Hope this is helpful!

How you can increase your up-sells by 20%. Are you an OSINT or cybersecurity company? Are you struggling to distinguish between contacts working in the same organisation across different departments in your Salesforce data? You may have multiple contacts within one organisation who work for different departments, such as a contact in the GSOC (Security Ops Center) team and another contact in loss prevention. Chances are these teams have separate budgets. Some of your revenue team may be discounting the opportunity to upsell the organisation to purchase additional licences by dismissing a contact as their parent organisation lists them as an existing customer. I recently supported an organisation in cleaning up the way they store their contact data in Salesforce, to ensure that potential sales to new departments in existing customers are not accidentally discounted. This blog post shows a recent #pentest I performed for some customers’ #Salesforce applications (also called Salesforce Communities), in which I exploited some common and other lesser-known flaws, which eventually led to an account takeover #vulnerability. I will show some plugins and in-depth techniques to facilitate the enumeration of the target and the discovery of these flaws, and I will link to other excellent resources that I have found very useful for delving into the Salesforce attack surface and on which I have relied to conduct tests and write this article. https://lnkd.in/dRaFzHN5

𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲! 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐥, Let's go to a important topic today: Salesforce sharing and security. 🛡️✨ 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒔. 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒄𝒆'𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆-𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍, 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅-𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒄𝒚. So I came up with this scenario, Imagine this : Your organization has a group of users known as “Contract Reviewers”. Their role is pivotal—they need to seamlessly view and edit all contracts in Salesforce, irrespective of ownership. However, there's a catch: they must not have the ability to delete any contracts. How would you tackle this challenge? What strategies, configurations, or customizations would you implement to ensure that the "Contract Reviewers" group has the precise level of access needed to fulfill their responsibilities? Share your insights, tips, or even creative solutions in the comments below! Let's collaborate and learn from each other's expertise. #Salesforce #SharingAndSecurity #salesforcecrm #happyLearning
