And nothing replaces the value of having a dedicated QA team. I’ve worked at companies that didn’t have a QA team, and the results were... chaotic. Bugs would slip through, and even the CTO couldn’t use the app without it crashing (true story). 🐛 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: Comprehensive testing isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s a necessity. 💡

How Unit Tests Work?🤔🤔 Unit tests break down the code you’re testing into small, discrete parts, or “units.” Doing this allows you to test each unit in isolation from the others. Test coverage can be a very misleading metric as to how resilient your application really is 🤥. Having 100% test coverage doesn't mean that 100% of the logic and end to end flows of your application are covered. If, for instance, you only have unit tests, I would liken it to a band in which each member only practices individually. There's a good chance that once they play together at a concert, they would all be out of sync 🎻. But even if you use integration tests, end to end tests and other strategies, you can't prove that all of your logic, or all of the cases and all the possible combinations of flows are bug proof 🐞. So, all we can do is write tests, make them relevant, and maintain them as the application grows and evolves. Plan to write them and do it with at least as much expertise as you write the code itself 🙏. It's the least we can do to reduce the risk of failure when the concert hits production 🎆.
