A few highlights from Bowled.io during the ICC #cricketworldcup2023 that lasted for 6 weeks. While we broke into the top 20 on the Play Store India in the #Sports Category as of Nov'23 among other staller data points, what stood out for me was the following: 👉 A single Player card was traded a record 88 times, demonstrating the high level of #engagement among users in our P2P economy! 👉 An impressive user #retention rate of over 70% during the tournament, validating our thesis that #ownership drives retention! 👉 Highest valued Player card was sold for 1700 Rs., showcasing the #monetization potential for the users and platform! Quick update from Bowled.io Being a Cricket-based social gaming platform, the 2023 Cricket World Cup was a great opportunity for us to experiment new ideas, grow the community and increase our brand salience. As such, we soft-launched our unique card-based games during the World Cup and received a great response. 🌐 Some highlights from CWC'23: ✨ Nearly 20k new users joined the Bowled.io community 📈 MAU soared to an all time high of 60k 🔄 12k+ cards (with a total value of 27m in-game currency - $RUN) exchanged hands among the users 🆕 Almost 6000 new cards were minted by the users 🚀 Reflections: In hindsight, this milestone wasn’t reached overnight; in the last 20 months, we’ve experimented with our product and marketing strategy multiple times by constantly listening to our small yet hugely important community. We recalibrated our approach after quick cycles of trying, testing and tweaking. A couple of things that worked well for us: 📱Crafting effective engagement, retention and growth loops within the app 📊Actively tracking product and marketing analytics (I can’t emphasise enough the importance of having a robust data centre in place even at the early startup phase, as it helped us make informed decisions at every stage) 🤝 White glove service and active engagement with the community (they become your brand ambassador as you grow) 🎯 A strong ASO strategy We definitely had an exciting season.
