A couple of days back, I shared few numbers on AstroTalk. Numbers were amazing but I somewhere tried to connect it with the number of educated people in India. Why I did so? Because I saw an ample amount of advertisement from them reflecting a conversation on how Astrologers were helping find the EXACT DATE when their Ex-boyfriends or girlfriends are coming back again in their life. And there were more such future predictions. So first things first. No astrologer can predict the exact date or time of any event happening in the future. They might help you give some probability of events or certain range of dates. Coming to Astro Talk, this way of luring Indian audience targeting their traumas of past relationships in my opinion is not an ethical way of marketing. It's simply luring or trapping. And that is what I was trying to portray through those numbers. But having a couple of comments and personal DMs from people on above made me feel like giving a clarity that it wasn't against the astrology or the people who believe in one. I was trying to highlight how a business is 100Cr profitable out of targeting people's emotions and selling just a HOPE Personally, I do not believe in astrologers and never explored astrology till date. However, 20 years back some astrologer told my family that I'll be writer by profession to which we all laughed because of my inclination towards maths since childhood. Ironically or maybe by destiny, I found my interest in writing lately only to write a linkedin post expressing my views on astrology. Haha!

How Astrotalk makes 600cr revenue through astrology (Puneet Gupta is the founder but he doesn’t believe in astrology himself) Back in 2013 Puneet’s girlfriend left him because he was not earning a good amount of money, He was doing a corporate job and earning 40k a month. But Puneet always wanted to start his own business, So he invested all his savings in his startup in 2013 but failed miserably… At the age of 25, he was staying with his parents, doing nothing. He lost all his savings and went into depression. He had no desire to live and locked himself in a room, But his friend (Aman) helped him to come out of depression and motivated him to work again. So again he joined a corporate job but his interest was always in building something his own, and that's how he started Astrotalk in 2017. He found an opportunity in the astrology business and started hiring astrologers, In recent days they only offered video call service with an astrologer, But very soon they realized that people are not comfortable in sharing their identities, So they released chat and voice call options for customers. This was game changing decision and they started seeing very good results from the Indian audience. Their target audience age is between 18 to 35 with almost 60% of consultations being relationship and marriage related, and around 30% of the consultations are for career and business. Now they control 80% share of online astrology market and have 15000 astrologers, Recently they took an investment of $20 million, and today they make 1cr daily and run a profitable company. From depression to building a 600cr company, Puneet Gupta is a live example that we can change our lives if move in the right direction. Do you believe in Astrology ? Even I didn't -- Read Below 👇 . I didn't believe in this as I had never seen my parents going to a astrologer for any of the problem, but few months ago I met a person at my village who amazed me and forced me to think beyond the logical realm.. He told me such things about me which was just known to me and through no way I shared it to anyone in my life till now -- This was definitely not mind reading -- I was not thinking about the things which he told me - I got amazed !! I started believing in occult and started researching more into it. Then comes a day when I saw a demo video of Astrology by Arun Tiwari on Youtube and Booom !!, I found it damn logical. It was about 9 months ago and from that point itself I started learning more about it. I got me some books and some courses and started learning more about it. I am loving this journey and the subject #Astrology more day by day, It changed my perspective towards life and made me fearless and filled me with higher wisdom. The people who ask me about their present and future, relate to my readings and I feel joy being able to help them through their queries.. At last, J P Morgan said and I quote, "Anyone can be a millionaire, but to become a billionaire, you need an astrologer." The one who understands the science, usefulness and accuracy of the subject, uses this tool and takes advantage of it. Those who don't -- misses out on an interesting part of this #Universe. Astrologers are “polluting” this space! They often use terms like “Shani Sade Sati” or “Rahu Dasha” to create fear and uncertainty. They’ll say things like, “Aapke upar Shani Sade Sati chal raha hai, isliye mushkilein badh sakti hain” or “Mangalik dosh hai.” These statements sound very serious, but they are vague and don’t offer any real explanation of why these planetary positions will affect you in this way. What happens next? You start stressing about every little challenge you face, believing it’s a result of these planetary phases. The astrologer may then suggest expensive remedies, like wearing certain gemstones or performing costly rituals, claiming they will protect you from the negative effects of these phases. But the reality is, these predictions are often general enough to apply to anyone. They play on your fear, making you feel like you need to spend money to “fix” something that’s part of a natural life cycle. In the end, it’s a tactic to keep you hooked, making you feel helpless without their “guidance”—all for the purpose of minting money from your worries. Do you agree that astrologers are using astrology to predict vaguely ?? I’m Mahima Mor, a planet coach who works with planetary energies and logical science with a background in physics. I spent 10 days in ASTROTALK as an ASTROLOGER! I learnt astrology from a DHIKSHIDAR, when I was 18ish. I knew early on, DASHAs, GOCHARAs or movement of planets didn’t matter. What mattered is YOU, the unique strengths that you bring to the table and how by strengthening, empowering or discovering YOU would open up a world of possibilities! I knew I was exceptional at this but I chose to make a difference to me, I wanted to use this ancient science on me and make me a better person. A few days earlier, I was nudged by my spouse to explore ASTROTALK, she mentioned about the platform and spoke about PUNEET GUPTA, who leveraged astrology to make a difference in his life! INTERESTING! That was the first response! Then the second response was impossible! We are surrounded by fortune tellers, folks who blame planets for our destiny and even more who advocate the unchallengeable HAND of KARMA! I felt, no one would be interested when I tell them the most important power is the power of believing in YOURSELF! The most important ingredient to change and transformation is YOU! In these 10 days, Close to a LAKH, would be the audience reach. Spoken to a hundreds personally and addressed thousands through LIVE! What I learnt is, There is an audience. There is an audience who would like to use themselves as the most important ingredient to make a difference. There is an audience who will choose the power of transformation and lastly There is an audience who would be appreciative when I tell them don’t look at DASHAs, or transits and GOCHARA, the opportunity to change and transform is NOW and time when your destiny changes is also in the NOW! In closing, it doesn’t matter what field you choose, Product Manager, Leader, CEO, VC or an astrologer, If you believe, YOU are enough and you thread the path to make a difference to your life! There will be an audience who would willingly pay to listen to your perspective! Kudos ASTROTALK and PUNEET GUPTA, I didn’t think I would enjoy myself, I was pleasantly surprised! The product has opportunities to improve but the reach that you have is phenomenal! #youcandoit #astrology #ceo Puneet Gupta Astrotalk

I recently saw a post about "faith-tech" astrology startup founder boasting its milestone revenue achievement. A large part of their revenue is apparently generated from the US. The founder left out the detail about its subscriber base's country of origin. I doubt that they collect that kind of data. But even if they did, I'm pretty sure they would just be unspecific about their userbase (when has astrology ever been specific and not vague?) I've always had my reservations against astrology and astrologers. None of them knew how difficult it was to crack an M3 arrear in Anna University but somehow knew what the future would hold for us as an engineer. An astrologer, during my childhood, predicted that I would become successful in whatever I venture out to become. And all of that would be through my personal efforts and without any intervention. He was telling this to Indian middle-class parents who want to hear exactly that. He was spot on with his ICP and messaging. Was it what actually happened? Yes and no. (Again, this is the kind of ambiguity that lets astrologers thrive.) All the jobs I have listed on my LinkedIn are through referrals. At the same I did not get them with just referrals, but also because I worked hard to upskill. But astrologers and Indian parents would ignore the part of referrals. Now, that there is a fear of global recession, people feel insecure and have brought back the COVID trend of going to astrologers, who have no clue of what they do at work or how geo-politics works, for reassurance. The only thing that makes me happy here is that a lot of astrologers out there are now on some kind of payroll and know what it feels like to have the government take a good chunk of their income. Bet no astrologer ever predicted that they would have to file a Form 16 someday.

Clarifying Common Questions: #Puja vs. #Astrology & #Pandits vs. #Astrologers Since I started building in Faith Tech, I often come across questions like: "How are puja and astrology different?" & "Can a Pandit be an astrologer, or vice versa?" Let's break it down: #Pujas are ritualistic ceremonies performed to worship and seek blessings from deities. They focus on devotion, spiritual connection, and invoking divine grace. #Astrology is about interpreting the influence of celestial bodies on our lives. Astrologers provide guidance and insights into personal traits, life events, and the future based on planetary positions. #Pandits are Hindu priests who conduct religious ceremonies and rituals. Their expertise lies in the scriptures and performing rites that help devotees connect with the divine. #Astrologers, on the other hand, specialize in predicting and guiding life’s events based on celestial patterns. In India, it's common for Pandits to also be astrologers. Many Pandits are trained in both fields, offering a holistic spiritual service. However, not all astrologers perform religious rituals, so the overlap is more from Pandits taking on astrological roles rather than the other way around. Who have you crossed paths with more, #Pandit or #Astrologer? #Spirituality #Religion #Astrology #Pandit #CulturalWisdom #Hinduism #Puja #DharmikApp #ReligionTech #FaithTech #Growth #Learnings #Startups #Gurgaon

🌟 Understanding Astrology: A Path to Self-Awareness and Personal Growth 🌟 Hi everyone, I'm a learning astrologer, deeply immersed in the study and research of astrology. Through my journey, I've noticed a common misconception: many people perceive astrologers as divine beings who can magically change your fate and destiny through remedies. This is a fundamental misunderstanding. 🔍 Astrologers: Guides, Not Saviors 🔍 An astrologer is not a deity who can alter your destiny. Instead, an astrologer acts as a medium to help you understand that the circumstances in your life are often the result of your past actions, possibly from previous lifetimes. You cannot escape these karmic influences. However, you do have free will, which you can use to improve your habits and thereby organize your life, enhancing your energy field over time. ✨ The Role of Free Will ✨ As a follower of an esteemed astrologer, Mr. Deepanshu Giri, I've learned that expecting an astrologer to wave a magic wand and change your life without your own effort is a mistake. Astrology should not be seen as an escape but as a tool for understanding your past karma and the challenges you might face because of it. The key to a fulfilling life lies in recognizing what actions you need to take in the present. 🌱 Your Journey to a Better Life 🌱 Life becomes truly fulfilling when we take responsibility for our actions and use the insights provided by astrology to make positive changes. Remember, an astrologer can guide you, but the power to transform your life lies within you. 📞 Now Accepting Clients 📞 I have started taking clients. If you're interested in understanding your life better and using astrology as a tool for personal growth, feel free to DM me.
