Hello SAC aspirants, "Knowledge is Power " Let's go through the fundamentals of SAC with my ‘All About SAC’ posts. Let’s dive in together!” Day 3/ 7 - How SAC integrates with Data sources ? SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integrates with a wide range of data sources, both on-premise and cloud-based, through live and import connections. Here’s a detailed overview: Live Connections: SAP HANA: SAC can connect directly to SAP HANA, allowing real-time data access and analysis. This connection supports Single Sign-On (SSO) and ensures data security. SAP BW: Live connections to SAP BW enable real-time reporting and analysis, with metadata stored in SAC while the actual data remains in BW. SAP S/4HANA: SAC can connect to both on-premise and cloud versions of SAP S/4HANA, providing real-time insights and analytics. Note: Integration via live connectivity is only possible for SAP data sources. Import Connections: 1. SAP Systems: SAP HANA: Data from SAP HANA can be imported into SAC for analysis. This is useful for scenarios where data needs to be transformed or enriched before analysis. SAP BW/BW4HANA: Data can be imported from SAP BW for more complex data manipulation and analysis. SAP S/4HANA: Import connections allow data from SAP S/4HANA to be brought into SAC for detailed analysis and reporting 2. Non-SAP Systems: Databases: SAC supports importing data from various databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and others. Cloud Applications: Data from cloud applications like Salesforce, Google Drive, and others can be imported into SAC for comprehensive analysis. Spreadsheets and Files: SAC can import data from Excel files, CSV files, and other formats, making it easy to integrate data from various sources. Today's learning: In which version of BW can we use hybrid modeling? The focus is on doing native Hana models, such as extracting data directly from ECC/S4 and integrating with BW ADSOs. You can use hybrid modelling in SAP BW/4HANA, which is the next-generation data warehousing solution from SAP. In BW/4HANA, you can combine traditional BW data modelling with native HANA modelling, such as: 1. Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSOs) 2. Core Data Services (CDS) views 3. HANA calculation views This allows you to leverage the strengths of both worlds: 1. BW's robust data integration and governance capabilities 2. HANA's high-performance, in-memory computing and advanced analytics capabilities With hybrid modelling, you can: 1. Extract data directly from ECC/S4 systems using BW's data integration capabilities 2. Integrate this data with native HANA models, such as ADSOs and CDS views 3. Leverage HANA's advanced analytics and calculation capabilities Note that BW/4HANA is a separate product from traditional SAP BW, and it requires a migration from older BW versions. If you're currently using SAP BW 7.3 or 7.4, you can migrate to BW/4HANA to take advantage of hybrid modelling capabilities. If you're using an earlier version, you'll need to upgrade to one of these versions first before migrating to BW/4HANA. #learning #BW #Hana #hybridmodeling

ECC and SAP S/4HANA are different in a number of ways, including: Database ECC can run on third-party databases, while S/4HANA only runs on SAP's HANA database. Customization ECC is highly customizable, while S/4HANA has limited customization options. Deployment ECC is only available on-premises, while S/4HANA is available on-premises and in the cloud. Data processing ECC uses a traditional batch processing method, while S/4HANA uses real-time analytics. Architecture ECC uses a traditional modular approach, while S/4HANA uses a next-generation architecture. Data tables ECC uses multiple data tables, while S/4HANA uses a single data table. General ledger ECC can run on both the "classic" and "new" general ledger (GL) structures, while S/4HANA only uses the new GL. Customer and vendor records ECC keeps customer and vendor files separate, while S/4HANA combines the data into a single Business Partner record. Rebates S/4HANA uses settlement management through condition contracts to replace ECC's SD rebate processing.

DATABASE : - Database is a software in which we organize the data in a structured manner so that we can fastly insert the data and retrive the data. database is a book with index SAP DB functionality :- In sap the software and data generated by the software both resides in DB. DB software we directly install it on your HDD and it will ask for DB size and it will create some logical boundaries within your HDD. if you want to search any thing first it will go to L1 cache-->L2 cache-->L3Ccache-->then to RAM -->then to Disk. If you are getting information from the ram then it is HIT. If you are getting information from the disk then it is MISHIT. If you are always getting information from the ram then you HITRATIO will be 100%. HANA - HIGH PERFORMANCE ANALYTICAL APPLIANCE HANA DB is called in memory data base your entire data is stored in your memory. #sapcertification #S/4 #HANA #sapcommunity #saplearning #sap #BigData #Analytics #CloudComputing #Database #InMemoryComputing #BusinessIntelligence #DataScience #SAP #TechTrends #DigitalTransformation #EnterpriseTech #HANADatabase #SAPCommunity #Technology #Innovation #DataManagement #SAPsolutions #CloudData #SAPSoftware #SAC #LINKEDINPREMIUM #Microsoftazure #azure
