If you’re an employer who’s losing workers to remote opportunities bc you insist on being on-site, don’t worry; you have options. You could always turn the office into a Spirit Halloween.
This is the LI content I'm here for.
You know what's scarier than a haunted house? A ghost town of an office. Embrace the remote revolution or risk becoming a relic of the past. Maybe it's time to trade those cubicles for cauldrons and let your employees work their magic from anywhere.
Whatever happened to the buggy whip manufacturers? I think the Amish make their own, nowadays.
Whenever I drive past a Wells Fargo building it always look tired and beaten lol. It would make for a great "Spirit Halloween" warehouse.
Some jobs in specific industries really are only appropriate being in person though, right?
But the employer can always fill those positions by hiring 2nd or 3rd best candidates.
I have not ever had a remote job before but it seems many who do really love it . Enough to leave their job if their employers switch the policy to in person . Makes me really want to explore the world of remote jobs or even hybrids.
From a "talent locator" perspective remote is great! Especially now that everyone loves unicorns; remote really is the best way to make that connection work.
This is the way. 😂 Seriously though, I can't afford a commute anymore. When the Owl Labs State of Hybrid 2023 Report released, it estimated employees spend a national average of $21 each day in office. For me, in a HCOL area with one of the top 3 worst commutes in the US, it was up to $71 a day, $39 if I went to bed without food that day.
