Would you say marketing and sales are the same or do you think there's a big line to draw there? I've had some interesting chats recently with Caroline Doche and Samuel Demarais on the topic and it fuelled some interesting food for thought. Ask digital marketers like Jérôme Robert Thibault Louis Maxime Le Morillon or Kevin Dufraisse from the The Kreators studios and they'll probably tell you that sales are the result of a funnel you have to build around marketing. Hence, both are mostly separated by a thin line, and the art consists in breaking the line so sales happen because marketing mastery is in place. Others like Samuel Demarais will tell you that marketing is the sugar coating layer that wraps things up, but that the key is to stop procrastinating about your sales to-do, stick your fingers out, and get some sales meetings in the pipeline. Marketing is about talking to the mass, while sales is about getting personal. Either way, the point is to break the wall that separates both so the experience gets seamless. In the end, some leads get to us because we reach them out while others get to us because they relate to what we say. The common denominator is strategic thinking, smart building, and rapid action.
