In a candidate challenged market, every interaction counts. This recent Gallup article shows that a strong interview process remains the most influential driver of job acceptances. "By providing an accurate, transparent preview of what it’s like to work in their organization, hiring teams allow candidates to confirm that the organization is a good fit. To grow the number of accepted employment offers, organizations may highlight opportunities for a candidate to develop positive relationships, learn and grow, and contribute to mission-based work." #interviews #interviewing #careercoaching https://lnkd.in/gCpRJFyS

Excellent read for anyone who is in a hiring role and is also disgruntled with the low acceptance numbers: “The experience an organization provides to candidates during the recruitment process directly influences how likely they are to accept a job offer…” It’s also a no-brainer that now not just anyone can take an interview; an interviewer respresents the organization and must be trained on how to reflect core organizational values: “Through interviews and other interactions with the hiring team, candidates consistently evaluate an organization’s culture. By providing an accurate, transparent preview of what it’s like to work in their organization, hiring teams allow candidates to confirm that the organization is a good fit.” #recruitment #interviewskills #companyfit #hiringright #recruitmentparameters

While it may seem obvious, it’s important for companies to focus on having a great candidate experience for new employees and job seekers. Companies who score high on candidate experience, including having a smooth interview process and responsive feedback for candidates, are more likely to secure the best talent and to retain that talent. Having high quality interviews is the most important aspect of the hiring process according to candidates, with a faster hiring process being second and being able to glimpse the company culture coming in third. Companies that have a solid culture of welcoming candidates and new hires will reap the rewards of that policy. #mriraleigh https://lnkd.in/eFg_T4BM

With so many professionals looking for work right now, it's no surprise that the job market can be frustrating to navigate. There's an abundance of competition for open positions, making it difficult to stand out. Even when a candidate does stand out and receives praise during the interview process, potential employers often fail to follow up, leaving candidates feeling confused and demoralized. As someone who cares deeply about human-centric practices, I believe that incorporating more ethical and respectful interview processes is crucial. We have a human responsibility to care for and respect one another, especially during difficult times like these. The interview and recruitment process can and should be re-humanized, and it's up to all of us to make that happen.
