Having been a practicing doctor in the NHS and since spending 10 years working in high performing agile teams I think there are huge opportunities for clinical teams to embrace agile techniques to work more effectively together. By breaking down silos, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, and creating space for continuous feedback, agile methods can help frontline staff respond more quickly and flexibly to evolving pressures. This means not only solving problems faster but delivering better, more cohesive care for patients when they need it most. Let’s seize this moment to not only support the NHS through winter but lay the groundwork for lasting transformation.
