To be honest, when I first heard of visualization, I thought it was a bit woo woo. However, there is science behind the power of imagining an outcome and the neural pathways it creates. During the Olympics it has come up a number of times, I've experienced the power of it myself as a client in coaching sessions, and I see my own clients gain insights and clarity in their decisions when they take the time to imagine a future outcome. Want to try? Ask yourself and imagine with as much detail as possible: What do you want your future to look like? What will be different about your life if you achieve this? How will it feel when you achieve that outcome? What will it look/feel like if you don't try? What steps can you take to move towards that future today?

So often when we discuss #character, #leadership, or #resilience we focus on what’s wrong—usually with OTHER people. But what if we focused on #whatRIGHTlookslike? What if we were #mindful of our own #strengths and weaknesses, and then showed others how to do the same? What if we aligned (1) who we want to be with (2) how we treat other people and (3) how we live our lives? What would that kind of world look like? #Flourishing is about discovering your strengths and building momentum in a life well-lived. Who you are #becoming is not a settled matter. So, how do you want to grow in thought, feeling, and action—to keep your head, heart, and habits in alignment? Who are you #becoming?

Week 4: Becoming More Creative At Work This week at the ALX AICE program, we explored the exciting ways AI can supercharge your creativity. From brainstorming ideas to crafting persuasive presentations, AI tools can help you unlock your full potential. Brainstorming with AI Imagine having a brainstorming partner that never runs out of ideas. AI can help you: Generate new ideas: Get inspired with a wide range of creative concepts. Explore different perspectives: Consider ideas from various angles and viewpoints. Refine your ideas: Refine your concepts and identify the most promising ones. The Art of Persuasive Communication AI can also help you become a more effective communicator: Craft compelling presentations: Create visually appealing and engaging presentations that captivate your audience. Tailor your message: Adapt your communication style to different audiences and situations. Practice your delivery: Rehearse your presentations and receive feedback on your delivery. My Milestone: A Personal Showcase For this week's milestone, I put my newfound skills to the test by creating a presentation about myself. I used AI to brainstorm ideas, refine my message, and even practice my delivery. It was a great opportunity to showcase my skills and learn more about effective communication #aice #aiced2024 #alx_ai

🧠 New work: What happens in our brains when we come to consensus? I’m super excited to finally share the first video in a series of #neuroscience animated explainers we created with Janès Zabukovec and the Consortium for Interacting Minds at Dartmouth College: https://lnkd.in/es6gF2pB To celebrate the launch of the first video, here is a quick breakdown of how we use #design, #storytelling and #animation to explain brain science: 📑 The first step is about having a deep understanding of the research paper → we ask a lot of questions here 💡 Then it’s about translating the research into an engaging story → here we focus on why that research matters 🎨 Based on the script we come up with different ways of visualizing that story → visual metaphors are super powerful to explain complex ideas 🎤 Then we ask a researcher to do the voice over → to make science accessible we believe it needs to be humane 📺 Finally we package the video for Youtube to make the research accessible beyond the scientific community → the best feedback for us is to see researchers empowered by the whole process This video is based on a research paper that was just published in Nature Communications: https://lnkd.in/eihdJpBT The entire process is fully collaborative, in dialogue between design and science, from the writing to the animation. Get in touch if you want to know more! #scicomm
