Meet one of our changemakers from CCE 3.0: Bumiaji Sejahtera, an enterprise that aims to revitalize the agricultural sector through an integrated approach in agribusiness, agroindustry, and agrotourism. BumiAji Sejahtera was founded in 2012 by Rahmat Hardianto, Indonesia’s Millennial Farmer Ambassador. This enterprise was born out of Rahmat’s concern for the declining number of young farmers in Batu, Malang, where only about 2% of farmers are young in his village. With a comprehensive ecosystem from upstream to downstream, they manage farming, processing, and marketing activities in an integrated manner. Agricultural products are marketed, processed, or transformed into derivatives, creating added value and driving the local economy. Currently, Bumi Aji Sejahtera partners with over 50 farmers, positively impacting the livelihoods of more than 500 people. Through this integrated partnership model, Bumi Aji Sejahtera strives to enhance production value and economic benefits for local communities while becoming a hub for young farmers with an entrepreneurial mindset in agriculture.
