Warning: Ignoring This Opportunity Could Mean Missing Out on Changing Lives! I'd like to address something about an organization close to my heart, that is the Florida FFA Association. The holidays are about giving, not just to the people around us but also to the future of the communities where we belong. These young agricultural leaders are empowered every day because of Florida FFA in resources, education, and experiences that will lead them to be the innovators and problem solvers of the next generation. Support for the Florida FFA is an investment in tomorrow's changemakers of leadership, sustainability, and future impact, not just a handout. This means that maybe your Christmas gift can send a student to a leadership conference, fund a local agriculture project, or even underwrite a set of hands-on learning activities for a particular set of students. Here's my challenge for you: 1) Consider one person who invested in you: What did that do for your growth? 2) Now think about passing that gift forward, releasing the potential of a young person. I'd be happy to help you make that happen. If you want to know how to do this this holiday with Florida FFA, just leave a comment or send me a DM, and I will personally walk you through the steps to have meaningful impact. Let's make this a season of growing, not just giving; a legacy we all can pride ourselves on. #Leadership #Agriculture #FFA #FutureOfFarming #GiveBack

Oluseun Onigbinde taught us on "Understanding the Socio-Economic and Policy Environment of NGO". This is like my favorite class because it addressed my pressing concern about sustaining an NGO. He gave detailed explanation of how to utilize partnerships in achieving organizational goals. Partnerships help to maximize available resources and even give credibility to your work. He also emphasized the importance of understanding funders' needs and aligning them with the scope of our organization. This strategic approach not only enhances our effectiveness but also fosters stronger, more sustainable partnerships. #NGO #Partnerships #SocialImpact #NonprofitManagement #mynplmseries #LearningAndDevelopment

Shall we 😊 We had the first class with Henry Onukwuba FCIPM, who did an excellent job providing foundational knowledge on what leadership entails. For organizations like NPOs, getting it right with the leadership system is crucial as it lays the groundwork for the organization's success. Once the leadership structure is solid, everything else begins to fall into place. He also emphasized that emotional intelligence and empathy are key, and that leadership is not just about management—you can be a leader in any position you find yourself in as such you must be able to lead yourself before you can lead others. Franklin Nnaemeka Ngwu (PhD) taught us on non profit corporate and board leadership. Nonprofit corporate and board leadership play a crucial role in steering organizations towards fulfilling their missions effectively and sustainably. It is very important to have the right people as board members as they ensure that the organization adheres to its values, operates transparently, and makes strategic decisions that align with its goals. Proper corporate governance is essential as it establishes a framework of policies and practices that guarantee accountability, fairness, and ethical conduct. When done right, it not only fosters trust among stakeholders, including donors, beneficiaries, and the public but also enhances the organization's reputation, operational efficiency, and ability to attract funding and talent. This, in turn, maximizes the nonprofit's impact and long-term viability. Fabia Ogunmekan highlighted the critical importance of getting it right with vision, mission, and sustainability for Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs). These elements form the foundation upon which NPOs are built. A clear vision provides direction, a strong mission defines purpose, and a focus on sustainability ensures long-term impact. Understanding and aligning these core components are essential steps for any NPO aiming to make a meaningful difference.

What does ‘expansion’ mean to you? Does it mean promotion and handling responsibility? Does it mean serving more, having more influence or impact? Does it mean more recognition? More seniority, more power? What would the humanitarian sector look like if we did not need that kind of validation or proof of our expansion to get more donations for our cause? What if our power was inside focussed with outside grace for creativity to come through us instead of command and control of hierarchy? The universe is said to be expanding, does that mean we can provide more space for creativity and less hierarchy? Could leading from the heart have more answers than strategic thinking all the time?? A simple story on being heart led: https://lnkd.in/eJkZYRDs #questions #reflection #leadership #learning #creativity #expansion
