I really enjoyed this article, Astrid Rousselin! So many valuable insights from the Summit! The emphasis on building a follower base early and integrating marketing throughout the development process really stands out. For indie studios, connecting with fans from the beginning is key to creating excitement by launch. The reminder about resilience is also important; even if a game doesn’t hit big commercially, each release adds valuable experience and strengthens a studio’s reputation over time. One perspective I’d add is the impact of using data in pitches. Along with presenting your creative vision, sharing early feedback, player engagement, or similar metrics can make a pitch even more convincing. This data shows potential partners that you truly understand your audience and their preferences. Blending creativity with real numbers can make an indie pitch even more compelling in today’s market!
