Pilots are often ranked or categorized based on their total flight hours, which can indicate their experience and expertise. Here’s a simplified ranking system: First Officer (Co-Pilot): 0-1,500 Hours: Entry-level or less experienced pilots who are building their flight hours. Captain: 1,500-5,000 Hours: More experienced pilots, often with significant in-flight experience and responsibilities. Senior Captain: 5,000-10,000 Hours: Highly experienced pilots with extensive flight experience and leadership skills. Chief Pilot or Airline Pilot: 10,000+ Hours: Veteran pilots with a vast amount of flying experience, often holding senior or specialized roles. #PilotRanking #FlightHours #AviationCareers #Captain #FirstOfficer #SecondOfficer

A simple hack to feel more gratitude: Think of an experience where you go from Point A to B. Then, zoom out & think about all the people who played a role in making it possible. For example: A flight from one place to another. Think about EVERYBODY that played a role: - TSA agents - Airport custodians - Airline maintenance - Airline mechanics - Air traffic control - Aeronautical engineers - Airplane construction workers - Pilots & flight crew - & so many more! It's a simple exercise that ALWAYS fills me with increased gratitude, appreciation, & connection. Give it a try & let me know what you think!

While diversity in the U.S. aviation industry has improved in the past few decades, Black pilots only accounted for 3.8% of commercial pilots in 2023. That's why our crew is committed to finding and sharing resources to give future pilots the chance to achieve their dream job. #FlexAirFlightSchool #FlyWithFlexAir #FlightTraining #FlightSchoolLife #FuturePilot #PilotLife #AviationCareer #StudentPilot #AviationEducation #PrivatePilotTraining

There have been no changes or improvements made to commercial aircraft accessibility for the mobility disabled since that photo was taken. Most in the disabled community are keenly awaiting news from Delta’s subsidiary Delta Flight Products about what is happening to the wheelchair space seating system it is helping develop? Is there any news ? Will Delta work with Boeing and Airbus on its implementation as per https://chng.it/XLVWt2Ls5y ? #aviation #aircraft #airlines #AccessiblityMatters #WheelchairSpotsOnAirplanes #AccessibleTravel #Wheelchair #Disabled #DisabledTravel #Accessible #Disability #WheelchairLife #Travel #Traveling #Aviation #Airplane #Airplanes #Transport #AirTravel #Wheelchairs #Transportation #AccessibleTourism
In March 1940, Delta’s first stewardesses began to serve on 14-passenger DC-2 aircraft. 84 years later, and our flight attendants continue to set the standard. Share a memory with your favorite Delta Flight Attendant/s in the comments.

Ad Hominem. 1- Human as a hero. 2-Human as a hazard. The above are the two fallacies in the aviation industry. Since the advent of the Wright brothers' airplane, humans have been heroes until after World War II. Then came the airlines, general Aviation, and Business Aviation. Humans were no longer celebrated as heroes without the cape—no more Barnstormers and wing walkers. Ad Hominem. Everything became a human's fault—until US Airways Flight 1549, with Captain Sully and his crew, landed on the Hudson, the "miracle on the Hudson." Human is still the hero, but we no longer train them as such or write about them as such. Their training consists of their failures, not their success. #airlines #bizav #pilottraining #avgeek
